The first ever Rugby League game you attended.

You wouldn't believe this Matt, but the very first rugby league match i went to was also a Panasonic Cup match way back in 1989. It was the Brisbane Broncos vs Canberra Raiders at Pioneer Oval Parkes country NSW. What a game and what a night it was as i remember it was such a massive game for the local community as every man, women, kids and their dog from all the small country towns had to get to that game even if life depended on it. It was so cool as a kid growing up in the bush to see the top grade players come to town with the likes of Langer, Walters, Miles, Meninga, Belcher, Stuart just to name a few. Amazing times sitting on the grass hill in front of 10000 strong.

2000, I think. Dairy Farmers, Cowboys v Canterbury, free tickets to a corporate box.

Went to couple more when I was at JCU for Uni, particularly the Broncos/Cowboys 2004 semi final.

As well as the France/Japan 2003 Rugby World Cup pool match. >_>

Mine was 1990 Raiders v Roosters. It was such a great day, I still remember it clearly. It was Easter Sunday at Bruce Stadium and the Raiders beat the Fatty Vautin led Roosters 66-4.

It was the biggest ever win by the club at the time (they beat that three years later when they defeated Parramatta 68-0). Mal Meninga also scored two club records that day which still stand - most tries in a match with 5 and most points in a match with 38.

Could be coincidence but I have noticed that a lot of 1st games for people here saw either Parramatta or there team playing Parramatta. Thanks Matt for reminding me about parra great lose of 68- zip.

Probably 1971, watching Bathurst Railway at the Bathurst Sportsground, had a mate from school who I played in the Under 12's with for RSL and his older brother was a star in First Grade in Group 10, he later went on to play First Grade in Sydney for Norths for a few years.

The first game I can remember was also at Bathurst Sportsground in 1968 watching Bathurst St Pats beat Oberon by one point to end their seven consecutive premiership run. I was lucky enough to play in a winning grand final on the same ground 13 years later. The first big game I went to was the 1975 Grand Final with an old school mate playing on the wing for the Dragons...............I left early!!!!

My dad was on the bench for the roosters that day. Didn't get a run.

I went to Dragons V Roosters regular season game in 1975. My Dad was mates with Henry Tartana from St George and got to go into the dressing sheds after the game. Around the same time my Dad, who grew up with the Sulkowicz brothers from Parramatta, introduced me to Ed Sulkowicz who scored the try in the 1977 Grand Final forcing the game to be played again. His family lived just around the corner from us and he started giving me footy tips in his backyard which wasn't that big because Old man Sulkowicz had a big veggie garden out the back. It was from there that I developed my love of football.

Are you revealing a soft spot for the Eels?

1996 Rd15 we lost to the Tigers at Belmore. Im still happy with that being able to see Canterburys greatest ever Terry Lamb play

The first I can recall was Broncos vs Manly Round 1 1988
I believe I did go to a few QRL games before this but was too young and can't recall them.

Round 13 June 12th 1988. Gold Coast Giants vs Balmain Tigers. Still have very vivd memories of the day. I was so excited I couldn't sleep the night before.
