Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season! *Spoliers*

LOl typical Collingwood supporters wont admit they're wrong....
Believe whatever you want to believe Jack, he is overated and has little impact on games.

Its ok I'll wait it will come to the prelim again and he will choke as you he has the last few years.

No where near one of the best in the league.

Whatever....

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season! *Spoliers*

. Cheap kicks = uncontested possesion = greater chance of hitting a target

As I've previously said a great clearance player but has poor disposal with little influence on games.

If someone has good eff that means they get it to there own player. So you saying him getting cheap kicks = uncontested possesion = greater chance of hitting a target. Which means he has a good disposal and an impact of the game because he gets it to his teammates . ;)

What Im saying is that if you get uncontested ball, you are a greater chance of hitting a target. Am i wrong?

Is there anyone in the league who gets a cheaper ball than Swan?

BTW care to show me where you got those EFF % stats?

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season! *Spoliers*

Swan was very solid today for the Pie's, along with Pendles. Swan's strengh to stand his ground in a contest really shows. Sure he lacks abit of polish on his skills, but can't deny his impact on the game and in contests. He wasn't BOG in my opinion, Top 5.

For the Dee's Moloney was outstanding with his physical strengh and inside work, and the big man Mark Jamar was just great to watch. Compared to a few seasons ago, his work rate is just unbelievable. Jamar or Moloney BOG followed by one of the Pie's boys. Great game .. bit of a empty result!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season! *Spoliers*

But in the post I showed it showed you saying uncontested poss = hitting target and also saying Swan has poor disposals & little impact on game but if he has unco. poss. he hits targets so he has eff. kick and impact on the game. ;)

lol are you blind freddy????
You cant complain about the umpires to much u would have 3 less goals if not for there incompetence!!!
As for the fixture...How many times does your team play Geelong, Stkilda, Hawthorn and Western Bulldogs top 3 sides of last year twice and 08 premiers twice.

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season! *Spoliers*

at this current time Collingwood is obviously better than West Coast, it's a bit of a no-brainer isn't it?

The umpires are crap, but i'm use to it so try not to complain too much.

Malthouse's comment was pretty funny though, you have a bad schedule? Last time i checked 4 interstate games for the entire season isn't too bad. I would love to play that many interstate in a season!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season! *Spoliers*

Swan, Didak, Jolly, Beams etc having an absolute field day!
WCE almost as bad as us!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season! *Spoliers*

Lol warney u cant complain about the umpires when u have 2 of the 4 free kick kings play for you!!! Really overall you should be thankful the margin was not more u got 2-3 goals that u shouldnt of ie Prestie free kick to Kennedy (It was Kennedy who had both arms wrapped around Prestie) Thomas got robbed of a great goal. Emberly hugging one of our guys for like 5 mins after a mark (Should have been 50) Plus more i have forgotten due to my good mood :P.
Any way Good time to have Swan as Your DT captain (Even if he did rack up 15 cheap kicks from half back)

Good day chaps!!!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season! *Spoliers*

Pies were good, they have class everywhere, Davis is in real trouble though, if you can't play well against us, you really are out of form. But Pies have the easiest draw in the leagues, still haven't won a premiership in the last 15 years. If they don't soon, I'll still call them frontrunners.

Playing Geelong, Saints, Bulldogs all twice but WC, Tigers, Crows only once and playing freo in freo, then cats in melb then lions in bris within 3 weeks is easy? I admit the last 7 games of the season at the MCG is nice but there is no way we have the easiest draw!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season! *Spoliers*

watch the next game in Perth and you'll what i'm on about. The first quarter of the game was when i posted saying they were crap because it was five free kicks to nil, and a great run down tackle (all wrapped up) is not a push in the back if you bring them down!

We play Geelong twice.

I would rather play the best teams in the comp here in Perth than interstate because of the home ground advantage right??

Collingwood have to travel once to AAMI, once to ANZ, once to the GABBA and once to Subiaco and the rest of the time they play in Melbourne.. it's just the way he complains about it when his side never travels

If you tackle a player and land on them in the middle of there back its not a free??? RIGHT... Thats like saying its not hands in the back cause i only used one hand!!!
I would be interested to see how often say Carlton travel U can only play each interstate team once at there home ground a year. The rest of the teams are Victorian... So what does that mean there are 6 interstate teams right? We play 4 times interstate... Just cause we dont need to sell a home game to Tasmania or Darwin!!!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season! *Spoliers*

Who's is easier then?

Well lets see, lets take

Essendon 3 interstate trips, last 8 games in Vic. No more travel for them and only play 3 top 8 teams
Hawthorn 3 interstate trips and 4 at Aurora which is their home game. 2 more trips and 5 top 8 teams
Melbourne 4 interstate trips. 3 more trips and 3 top 8 teams

Collingwood 4 interstate trips. 1 more trip and play 4 top 8 teams.
