The Collingwood Football Club thread.

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

Pies kicked like Eagles last night, back to basic goal practice I reckon.

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

Pies have to bring Anthony in! We need someone who can kick straight!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

Lots of people are tipping the Hawks over the pies... Your thoughts?

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

fair call they have had the wood on us in the past 4 games. If we are going to beat them time is now missing alot of good players and good players in are under done. If we kick like we did last week we wont beat richmond!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

i dont think your mob will have a problem with beating the hawks, although it will be close

Now thats what i like to hear!!!

crg0084 : Couldnt agree more... Our kicking for goal was in one word horrendous... We really need a big power house forward that kicks goals week in week out... We cant rely on Travis Cloke to kick the goals...John Anthony is lucky to get a game.... Who will step up?

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

i was impressed by Clokie last week, whilst he was inaccurate he gave a much better effort than last season. No Jackie is a bit disappointing, considering that plan didnt work last week. Still sceptical of Jolly. i could put it down to him being there to relieve Fraser, but Jolly is doing a huge chunk of the ruck work. the game will come down to the following players:
HAWKS - Roughhead, Sewell and Mitchell (if they are all in)
PIES - Cloke, Pretigiacomo and Beams
based on these names it is gonna be tough for the mighty magpies!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

Buddy is out for the Hawks which is good,That means presti will play on Roughead.
Fraser there is 2 ways for him,Its either hes rucking most of the time or out of the team He cant do anything else hes 2 skinny to play a key forward.I do not know why we got Jolley when the year before we spent our top draft pick(in top 15)for Cam Wood who is a dud...

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

I seriously don't get it. Why on earth did they omit Anthony AGAIN. People say because he didnt play well. But come on, last week's attempt at goal was pathetic. If they had Anthony things might had been different. And this week again. Have no idea whar Buckley is up to as forward coach. And on top of that Macafer???

I believe we will win this week, but why take the chances after last weeks bad goal shots. Pies have to contain Roughead and Rioli

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

Hawks may struggle again with only one ruckman, but Jolly has been ordinary, if Pies can kick straight shouldn't be a problem.

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

I watched Anthony in the VFL last week in the warm ups he didnt miss one goal... Collingwood really need to bring him in!!!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

I forget to mention he kicked 3 goals in the windiest conditions at Victoria Park..

3 goals would have made a huge difference in the St.Kilda ame..

Im sure the Vfl side they played was no stkilda. While everyone is saying why is he out dont forget he is still young and developing the break will help him regain his confidence and develop more skill its not all bad. Altough i think it would have been fair to give Dawes a run in place of macaffer!

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

They played Williamstown who are no St Kilda but are still preety damn good..

Bottom Line is John Anthony should be in the side

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

How Old is John Anthony 22? i reckon hes not playin as well as he should be because collingwood has no prize forward and collingwood are tryin to rush him into being a supestar

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!

warm ups = no pressure.

mate last year at the start of a game in Perth i swear Mark LeCras missed every shot at goal in warm-ups and ended up kicking 5 goals in the game so i don't think this is the case:)

Re: The Collingwood Football Club thread for 2010 season!
