The Thunder are doing a GWS and taking their extra game to Canberra. I can't believe it.
Taking most of the WBBL games on the road too. The Thunder girls will barely be in Sydney at all. Opening weekend where they play two games at North Sydney, then only one game at Penrith a week later and a game at the SCG before the Sixers Thunder BBL game.

They play games in Albury, Wagga Wagga and Canberra.

Yep I know, the young bloke has already booked tickets for Albury, daughter and I will be going to both the Wagga matches.
Think there should be more of it, the shield game they played in Wagga a few seasons back drew almost 5000 the first day. Everyone I know who went to the shield game is planning on going to the WBBL matches.
Only BBL match we got to in Sydney last season we bumped into 3 families from town and town is only 1000 people. When your used to return trips of nearly 1000km to get to games then anything closer is well supported. Wagga/Albury/Canberra all have populations if 250k-500k with a couple hours drive. Wouldn't surprise me if one of the regional games draw their biggest crowd for the season for a stand alone WBBL match.

The forgotten man Joe Burns 202 not out v South Australia today. Unfortunately Matt Renshaw failed again with 4. Adam Zampa has bowled a massive 43 overs in this innings - that's a fair effort! Alex Carey continuing to score runs with 139 along with Travis Head's 132.
In other games, Glen Maxwell scored 96 for Victoria.

Agar also had a fair bowling workload, bowling 50 overs in his comeback game from injury and taking four wickets. Good to see Burns back in the runs, but Renners is putting up numbers a tailender wouldn't be happy with at the moment! He hasn't even reached 100 runs for the Shield season yet, after 9 innings.

Tassie have looked much improved the last couple of games, too. A couple of very good batting efforts.
