This was the first set I purchased a box of - a couple of years removed from actually collecting as a kid and just wanting to see what it was like to have a whole box.

No idea where I got it from online as I don't think eBay was around in Au yet. I just remember being really disappointed - not the glossy cards I expected from Fleer and didn't get any of the fun inserts the earlier sets had.

I guess i set the bar a bit lower for Fleer

The next time I bought a box was 2007 Fleer...now thats a set that has no chance of reaching even a low bar.

1997-98 Skybox Z-Force - Another great design for Z-Force. Some paper loss happening on some of these unfortunately. The Zensations are 1:6 and is not a bad design but "Big Men on Court" was the big chase set here.

After the 1996-97 Fleer Ultra disaster i'm extremely nervous about these.

1997-98 Fleer Ultra - Not a huge fan of this one. I think i prefer the way they did the players names the previous year. The "Rookie" tag is a bit plain. As for the Inside/ Outside insert, i think i prefer the original design compared to this.

1997-98 Topps - Not a bad design for Topps but it's interesting that the front of the base card has no team logo or mention of the team they play for. Am I right in assuming this is a "Generations Finest" 1:36?

1997-98 Topps Stadium Club - I think i prefer this design to the previous year. The NBA Transactions cards are cool way of noting traded players. Lots of super rare, highly sought after inserts in this set.

These also seem super glossy for Stadium Club.
