Someone's got to stick up for the QLDer 
Chances are he probably did do things wrong when he was drunk and maybe he did have an ongoing problem, but their was no internet then, no mobile phone cameras everywhere you go, etc. Its not just about going out and getting wasted... The characters of our games have gone, and yes that has to do with what chad was saying about them being highly paid professionals, but its still sad.
Sportsmen can barely even sledge these days without it getting blown out of proportion, suddenly the blokes a racist and getting fined or suspended...

Speaking of media, Symo was at the Titans v St George game tonight and of course the only time they panned to the box he was in, he was standing on the balcony with a beer in his hands.... watch the media rip that apart on tomorrows news !!
At the end of the day, his ability or inability to deal with problems is Symos business... scrutinising him over his past actions is pointless and I hope for his sake he steps out of the lime light for a bit, goes back to basics and moves forward...
For us all as fans.. when Symo is hot, he is damn hot so it is a sad thought of not seeing him in his baggy green or ODI cap 139. On a happy note, lets be thankful that Cricket Australia secured his services as he was damn close to going and representing England !

I am sure we have all said or done things, whilst on the turps, that we have later regretted. I guess we are all just lucky enough that we dont have the media on our backs, and only have to put up with p***ed off mates or partners! (which is bad enough!)
