Sums up my week - Beware

good point Norm..

i thought about that small dot too, but in the smaller one it's also visible, but i am definitely positive when Shoes pointed out about 3.2 degree deviation of the card of the scan. it's pretty much positive..

you can check out Zo's same card with different auto.. everyone signed very unique in each autograph.. what we can confirm regarding auto is their pen strokes on alphabets, beginning and endings..

this one has shorter dot on his top of the I, compared to other twos.. but his ending G's a bit longer... very easy to spot...

and the other similar two...

Has anyone asked about the numbering? Is there numbering? What about asking both sellers to provide another scan?

Exactly the point Linn. The autos are exactly the same in the 2 in question. End same spot, start same spot and have lighter and heavier pen markings in the same spot. That one you have just shown us, the G doesn't even end on the bottom line like the others.

Norm,

these UD Hadrdcourt cards do not have numbers and are considered as rare cards, but they have different writings on the back of the card or something like that....

still rare but not numbered

Thanks guys, it appears I am up s### creek on this one.

What a great week for me indeed.

E-bay was no help what so ever for me, they just didn't even bother reading what I wrote and their resolution was just stupid:

"Seller may have personal issues, contact him".

Maybe it's late, and I'm not thinking straight. But how does that make one seller have a card that is supposedly heading my way? Which I can see is not going to happen as the other guy has my f###### card

I lodged the claim with Paypal, and the seller has refunded my money straight away.

I guess no card again and out of pocket fees. Great

Glad to see you got your money back Mike. Pity eBay is shite at customer service

The same thing with the fees happened to me with that Exquisite box scam that went around before. I didnt realise they would give you the refund in AU$ rather than the original US$ so Paypal screwed me out of $60 right there :(

On the Alonzo sig: is it possible the guy has the item but just used someone else's photo? I do that all the time with selling CDs, so it could be possible he has the card, but was too lazy to scan. Any thoughts?

I thought of this - but doesn't ebay's watermark feature pretty much deter others from stealing others pictures; as if he used the other guys picture then he would end up with two watermarks on the picture - & he only has one.

watermark over watermark looks like 1 watermark son

He Mike, glad to hear you got your money back, at least. Too bad about the time/effort/energy wasted though.

Good luck with finding another.

How'd you guys lose out on fees? I thought PayPal attempts to recover ALL monies paid? If you paid $55 + $5 postage, they'd recover $60.

If it's US$, then it'll say how much in AU$, and refund that.??

It's always been the way for me.

Its because of their exchange rate margins.

They make you convert it back to $AU at their exchange rate (which is a huge margin of like 1%). Then if the exchange rate dropped since your initial purchase, huge loss!

Sorry to bump this one back from the dark ages.

But I got my card yesterday, so I didnt have a problem with the seller "baskr2".

Good luck with the others who purchased.

The one I brought? Hell yeah!!

Well I think it was cheap, that's why I hit it.

It was 04-05 Exquisite Collection RC Auto Patch /99 (3 CLR) BIN $200US. Too cheap not to leave it there.

Nice find.

Well, he set that buy it now, so I guess it doesn't really count.

Anyway, i'm over it and will have to look for another somewhere else one day.
