I was telling my brothers this issue when we were watching game 7.
Good point about this year's Bulls. The game is more appreciated without the physical intimidation tactics that Coach Tibs allowed his players to do.
No offense to die-hard Bulls fans. It's just that the game is much fun to watch without those cheap tactics. I like the Bulls, too but not the way they want to win the series with the Heat this year. I was just glad that they abandoned the tactic in their final game.
And the finals went to game 7 without those kind of crappy plays and overall, basketball fans enjoyed it right to the end.
Still, the Spurs have blew it big time. Maybe the biggest collapse in finals history. They let Lebron and the Heat off the hook for what seemed to be their worst off season in regards to criticism.

I (even as a Spurs fan) thought the Heat would roll through 4-1. I actually picked Memphis to come out of the West also (pre playoffs). Spurs showed how great a team they are and how they have the real heart not just struck gold in free agency and pooled talent a la the way the Lakers do and now the Heat.
I see it that the Spurs gave themselves a chance to win a ring. Biggest collapse in Finals history!!! Are you F***ing serious? You must be one of those "new" Heat fans.
After such heartbreak in game 6 to front up and give it a shake in game 7 time after time. Let's face it, had D. Green not gone cold the Spurs would have taken it, had Ray Allen missed, had Lebron not shot the lights out, had T.D not missed that lay up.
I'm so proud of the Spurs. What a team of champions. No excuses at all. The Heat deserved their win.
Let the Heat off the hook??? The Heat were supposed to win easily? Instead they were sweating until the last minute of game 7. The difference was 1 man, Lebron. That's it. I hope he leaves the Heat like many are suggesting and then we'll watch their fans disappear again.
Worst "fans" in the League. Hands down.

How about Boston spanking the Lakers by 39 in game 6 in 2008? Showing no heart whatsoever? That's worse.
How about the Heat dancing around like idiots in front of the Dallas bench two years ago in game 2 thinking they were killing it and then getting rolled after they were up 15 in the 4th quarter, that's worse. How did they end up that series?

I have been a Miami fan since 2003, the year D Wade was drafted. I also hate these 'new' Miami supporter, much like the Bulls following in the 90s, and Lakers in the 2000s.
As you said, yes, Heat SHOULD have won easy, but struggled up against a veteran Spurs team who showed confidence and heart. I respect the Spurs players 100% for playing their heart out in all 7 games, and make one of the best series I have seen.
And also as you said, Lebron did bring that championship to Miami, but dont see that as a reason to tease Heat supporters. If he left, I'd applaud him for entertaining the league with D Wade, and bringing home 2 champions (Maybe more?). I personally would love to see him play for Cleverland again, especially with Irving. I'd be more upset to see Wade go.
And this finals did show how great Lebron really is, silencing all the doubt and haters, to really place himself in everyone's mind as one of the greatest.
I think it will be hard for me to explain to you what I meant because none of your examples came close to a collapse...

Your knowledge of the game seems to be weak that's all.
Being up 5 with 30 secs to go doesn't guarantee you a win in the NBA.
Just the same as being up 15 in the 4th qtr against Dallas doesn't guarantee you the win either.
Calm down drob8...I think the 1995 NBA Finals where the first seed Magic were up three and Nick Anderson missed 4 consecutive free throws, and went on to lose in OT to the sixth seed Rockets was the biggest collapse that I've seen. They would get swept by the Rockets and Nick was never the same again, just absolutely demoralised him.
Dude, he is talking about a worse "collapse" as in had the championship done but then coughing it up in the final 30 seconds (which is exactly what the Spurs did). It is completely different to any of your points. No need to start questioning people's NBA knowledge when you yourself have completely missed the mark.
I dont need to know anything about ball to know that the Heat are Champions yet again!!!!! Amazing season and that Finals series was EPIC. Have already watched G7 again

The $1000 I won by laying some money on the Heat during the season took a little of the hurt away. But either way I'll be fine.
Please feel free to make it a few months that you don't post next time. The only thing I disagreed with was that it wasn't "the biggest collapse in the Finals ever".
As much as I love the NBA and the Spurs, I'm not gonna cry because they couldn't close a game. These things happen. I'm more proud that they were able to put themselves in a position to win when no-one since 2007 (other than their fans) thought they'd get close, you remember the "too old" calls I'm sure.
