In some ways, these cards are so much better than what is around now. The cards had plenty of stats and were informative, and some had the fun cartoons on the back too, plus there was no hint of gambling compared to today's cards when people buy them not for the cards but for the chance to find a rarer insert.
These cards must have also shown a transition, from when gum was used to sell cards to when cards were used to sell gum and then to when cards were the only thing in the pack.
Your post is one of the best on here, with some great pictures of cards that stayed in top condition locked away in the pack.
You don't want to try for the tote bag redemption. The expiry is 3/31/78. Maybe that means 2078. When you "indicate the team of your choice", best not to pick one that wasn't around then.
