lets all buy one card off coasts sports each, and just drop negs. get that percentage lowwww
I must say i dont really bother getting cards signed today. To many greedy pricks out there to try and wrestle with.
I must admit, people selling autos fullstop grates me. This is now the end result, players refusing to sign.
Get them for your PC by all means, but to profit off them is pretty ordinary form.
I agree completely. I think we will eventually see the day where signing sessions become regimented across the board in the major football codes - one item per person and the signature has to be dedicated (eg "To Matt" etc).
Greed, as it does in most aspects of life, will be the cause of this.
The NRL'll will have to make sure all their employees are undertaking schooling then.
Too many rugby league players cut school to kick a footy and wonder why they can't write their own name.

Love the idea mate. Ozcard working in conjunction with the Clubs & NRL. Being in my 30's I often feel some players think I'm a seller when handing them just one card. But when I say please an thank you & many then can actually see the excitement in my face after they have signed my card (especially if it's one I have been chasing for awhile) they usually then smile and say no worries & I think some then realise I'm just a crazy mad footy collectorI love getting sigs and hate sig pig. I love the personal aspect to it to the point i wont sell buy or trade sigs because everyone i have, ive gotton personally and can tell the story behind it. i can understand the players and clubs frustrations and believe they too hate sig pigs. I generally believe they dont mind siging a card or 2 for collectors. Now, heres what u may deem to be a stupid idea but, what if OCT had some collectors wrist bands made up for our purchase, maybe 5 bucks. We can where this when chasin sigs and players will recignise the true collectors from the pigs. I only ever take one card at a time but stil feel as tho some players think my intentions are bad. Just some thoughts and a silly idea for your discussion....
Im in the exact same boat mate. Was alot easier when i was 15 n could actually get 3\4 cards signed at once. Like many i have mutiples of each player but stil only take one nowdays. The hard part is pickin which one to take. Thanks for the second on my idea lolLove the idea mate. Ozcard working in conjunction with the Clubs & NRL. I too am happy to pay players/clubs for signatures & if that's how it will stop sig pig sellers then I'd be all for it
Yea perhaps not but if we did have a collectors wrist band and some common ground rules like giving no more then 2 cards to a player. Then players & Clubs were tipped off about what the collectors are doing to try and minimize people profiting from sigs then maybe perhaps with a little time,, recognized collectors can do what they love & players & clubs can have confidence in whats happening with the majority of cards being signed....
Even if the sig pigs were on here and got their own band they would be limited by the ground rules.
No doubt about it. Perhaps if there was some consensus on such or similar an idea then It would be worth putting forward. Maybe better coming from someone thru here with a good relationship with ESP aswell...You would probably be better to push back something via ESP. They have a relationship with the NRL.
He must have had a big night on the cruisers !!!You're not wrong. I asked Josh Dugan to personalise a card to my brother-in-law, Dean. I got the card back off him and it said 'To Dave'
I think it is more the volumes of cards that sig pigs are getting and selling (20+) week in and week out that is the problem for the NRL clubs and players. I wouldnt be able to collect my signed sets without the help of IP sig collectors on here and ebay. It is a lot better when IP sigs are traded rather than sold but as Robbie said, this isn't always the case. For the most part, I don't think there are too many IP sig collectors that have intent to sell IP sigs when they are obtaining them, circumstances and collections change along the way. I guess the best way to keep everything a little on the level if you do intend to make profit from IP sigs is to further reinvest in other NRL merchandise or more cards, that way the money is being recirculated in NRL circles and keeps the game financially healthy for all.
