Shipping and ebayers why do they have to charge to much?

Please remember guys, the guy is stating postage fees and he is sending by EMS, so he is not overcharging, he is just protecting himself against Paypal claims by sending through a safe method.

Of course if you were bidding on a $1 item, you would stear clear of people who only send EMS, but if it was a $300-500 item then you would want that type of protection.

You should really talk about guys who charge you $5 or more when it only costs $2 by regular post. They are the ones making the money off you.....not the ones stating out right $30 and shipping EMS.

totally understand but $20 postage for a $6 card ?????????????????????????????????????????????????

I also wanted to add to my initial point, what they charge for postage of cards isn't as bad as some of the chinese auctions for say jewerely or boxes or clothes.

The item sells for like 99cents-$50 and they advertise the shipping at like $100US (like I mentioned before they use the extra money to cover listing costs and paypal costs, which is perfectly legal to do so, if the shipping price is advertised and you bid and win).

If they tell you after it ends, then sure that is bad.

In essence, you should know what the shipping costs before you bid. There are times if I need something bad I will pay that extra insured shipping.

The sellers that you should be annoyed about are not the ones that charge for insured shipping but the ones who send the package at FAR less then you paid shipping for.

hahah some people just need to whinge!!!!

When sellers actualy want to cover their own arse's and do the RIGHT thing by sending registered/insured/EMS or watever then so be it, if you want the card pay it. If they charge you stupid mney and state its going to be sent one way and it doesnt get sent that way, that is the ONLY time you can ***** and moan. If you bid on a auction that states the postage price, doesnt state registered or anything, you pay iy and it comes for alot less then you paid then YOUR the idiot for whinging when you agreed to his/her/their auction terms....

There is so many tools out there that whinge and moan about postage when its their own fault for not reading/understanding things properly first....

it does not really bother me only when a card i need is up and the past SV have been less than
$10 and the muppet wants $17 US for postage so i is a bit annoying , when i do sell on the bay i make sure unlees they are on the boards that i return the favour for $26 AUS for postage so i can cover my behind from payapl because $10 will send me into the poor house heaven forbid they do not recieve there card!!!:woot:

It's pretty was to see when the seller is overcharging with tools like USPS - The United States Postal Service (U.S. Postal Service) shipping calculator at hand.... don't know if there is a Canadian equivalent though..

It's still cheap if you are sending with regular post. But if you want insurance with tracking number for high-value cards, the only option we have is EMS shipping and that costs $50 CND +$1 for each additional $100 insurance covered.
