Objectively describing the situation and asking for opinions on whether my position was justified or petty is hardly a 'pot shot'. This is a forum after all. People should feel confident to document their experiences, good, bad or otherwise.@ShipMyCards - Brilliant response to the pot shots.

For my first shipment I just got hit with a $200 customs/border fee even though I kept the number of cards under $1000 value. Looks like the exchange rate changed between buying the cards and shipping them. Pretty disappointed because now the whole thing cost me way more than just buying in oz.
Good guessFedex?
Good guess
I declared mine for 450US/620AU. Insured for 2500US
No worries with my delivery
Do you have to pay extra for that insurance?
Just keep an eye on the exchange rate. SMC doesn't convert to AUD which is what screwed me. I was less than $20 over and it cost me $200.I'm building up quite the inventory at SMC and I'm scared to ship.

How long have these shipments been taking from when you request the shipment invoice to actually arriving?

What type of shipment? Large or a small one?
I requested a large one and 5 days later i got the invoice. It arrived anther 4 days after that
