Shaq Auto

Fucking Ebay arseholes.

Demand a full refund - with the return postage to be paid by him.

If he doesn't comply then report him to Ebay and Paypal that he has sold damaged goods. Face it, the card is damaged. He did not advertise the damage and mislead you. Fucking prick.

Then give him a negative feedback. Make a stand, don't get ripped off!

I wish I had a fake Ebay address to bid for cards from these pricks and then destroy their feedback.

maybe email topps? or someone at beckett...

topps do some funny things (ie finest encased) by the description, its not exactly laminated eh? like laminate would be full stuck on, no room for movement, and I doubt the edges (of the plastic) would be exactly perfect..

but the pic, it looks ok, and I think Kidd05 said it moves around in it?

He took it back. He said he used a tool to seal (it's a tight seal but very well done- but still the card isn't RAW anymore) the plastic covering of the card. LoL. Who's the tool? He said he's been collecting cards for 10 years now and he's no newbie. I asked if he does this to all his cards and he said no, only the nice rare ones.

I'll ask for compensation. I want to keep the card.. I don't think it's gonna get damaged if I cut it, but I won't tell him that now. ;)

I still think it's stupid to seal cards like this.

No seasoned collector would do that though. He's no noob just a dumb ass!

So you confident you can get it out without damaging the auto???

Will the auto lift off due to the heat needed to put on the laminate??

Hmm.. there's around 2mm of plastic space around the edges of the card. If I use a blade and a ruler, I can get it off..

I don't think he used a heated tool though chad, but he did get it sealed air-tight. To be honest, it's a pretty good seal. I didn't notice it was sealed permanently until I wanted to get the card out of the sleeve to have a closer look. So with the auto- I doubt it would smudge. It's like an ultra pro 9-card-sleeve type of material that's been sealed.

Any further advise? Two main things I can do now-

1. Get the full refund he already offered.
or
2. Ask for something (what should I ask for? and keep the card and risk it getting damaged after removing plastic.

Ask for a refund...

Up to you if you keep the card. But if you have to return it, make him pay for postage (cos he wont refund ur postage), and charge em $6 like they do us!. lol.

if u can open the card,
then just open it if you think the auto will be fine..
like if its just something that u can open one edge with a blade, then the card would fall out..
just do that instead?

geelong > yeah but if I damage the card, then I'm left with nothing.

Mavs > yeah guy wont refund the US$5 i paid for registered post.

OK I just emailed him.

I asked for a full refund including the US$5 I paid for registered post. I told him I know he's losing money too but were both professionals and the BUYER should always be the priority for compensation in bad transactions.

I also told him that other options I'm willing to consider are:

1. I keep the card and he refunds me half of what I paid for.
2. I keep the card and he sends me another card or cards with equal BV.:)

I'm sure he'd go for the full refund though. ;)

I hope he replies soon.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Hi, sir
What is the wrong description of the item??
Before I replied the last email to you, I supposed the card had some damaged.
So I suggested that I refund the money to you without shipping cost.

But the situation is the card's sleeve sealed by me, not the card damaged or lost.
You can cut off the sleeve of the card, I think it's not a difficult thing to everyone.

I only refund the money to buyer for the card damaged or lost with insurance by registered mail.
This sutiation is not match any roles as above, So I can not accept your any options.

I hope you can understand what I say.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORDS THAT ARE COMIN OUTTA MY MOUTH??

Hehe.

Damn.. I lose US$6.50 if he doesn't refund me the shipping cost.[/quote]

This was my response:

Okay.. in your auction description, you didn't say anything that says the card has been sealed.

Sir, I have been collecting cards for 11 years now, and there are only two types of cards:

1. RAW cards.
-These are how the cards are when you pull them from a pack or from the box. This is how the manufacturers produced the card.

2. GRADED cards.
-These aren't raw anymore, as they have been SEALED in a graded plastic container.

I understand why you sealed the Shaq Auto, but sir, if you said it in your auction that it has been sealed by you using a tool, I wouldnt have bidded on it because its not RAW anymore and I would have a hard time to sell the card again.

If I cut the plastic off, I might damage the edges or the autograph, and then I would be left with nothing.

I hope you understand as well what I am saying.

If you refund me only the amount of the final auction price, I would be losing $5 plus the amount Im gona spend to send the card back to you, and will be left with nothing.

See how nice I was and how I think I know a lot about cards? :D

Dont cha just love the way some people write emails!!

You pay with PayPal?

I'd give them a ring, rather than using online. See if they can help..

Go hard on the prick - he is totally in the wrong by not advertising the card as sealed.

Dickhead. Fight it all the way. Buzz Paypal and Ebay - report it!

Full refund, mate... you can always get another Shaq Auto in time. Wait until they drop to 50c each before you buy the next one.

If the card moves around inside his sealed plastic, then just cut it open and put it in a sleeve and toploader as he suggested - if its not damaged then just do that.

Cut your losses. Learn a lesson and move on.

If you damage it taking it out and it's because of the sealed plastic then demand a refund. If not then all is ok.

I decided to do what Graham said and now I have a minty fresh Shaq Auto... unlaminated. :prayer:

This seller deserves a neutral though.
