im disapointed, there no way i can get a melksham platinum , why would they only put 13-28 into boxes?? , not many people will be able to complete that platimun set
 
im a bit confused about whats available in this series. it seems all over the place a little and i cant follow what are redemptions and whats in packs. not that im too worried because i wont be buying boxes this year, maybe just the one. Select always seem to throw a spanner in the works! kinda happy theres nothing for me, i can concentrate on the older high end stuff. but it doesnt really make sense to me as to why Select had done it this way. and numbering the richo and ablett to 200 will devalue them wont it? i know those cards will be very sort after but surely going with 4 different players @ 100 keeps more people happy.
 
hmm true true brown , can someone finalise the realease date because ive heard 12th of july 15th july and 9th july , wat the realse date

i think they went for 28 because
1. they needed an even number to make them limited to 200
2. if they went up to 30 that would be luke balls 2nd dpp and hes not really new to the game

Im not happy with this years release, pretty sad that only a AFL/VFL Premiership card may or may not be available
for Hawks collectors.This will be the worst series 2 for the Hawks ever.I spose you win some and lose some.

I guess you're paying the price for being successful on-field. To try and get close to a premiership, a lot of the main contenders traded away their future for the now. Hawks, Saints and Pies all dont have a pick in the Top 28 due to this. Means its a cheap series for all the team collectors of these three teams (PC cards notwithstanding).

At the other end of the scale, Melbourne will have 4 PDPs, and Essendon, North, Port & West Coast all will have 3.
Thats 16 of the 28 cards covered by 5 teams!
 

Totally get that mate, but couldnt Select see this and maybe put a hawks, saints & collingwood insert of another type in so those big 3 vic team collectors have something to aim for? just an idea. thought it might have been a good idea as hawks, st kilda and collingwood have huge followings and therefore lots of team collectors. if they had done an insert set that could have included players from these teams then everyone would be covered. but i guess select have never really done this before so why start now.

at this rate if we all start writing to Select now begging for game-used cards we might just get them for the second series in 2020

dont mind the look of this series but its still missing things like predictors which make it interesting for everyone. have a feeling that if you leave out too many of the popular vic teams and include too many of the lesser popular teams then it might not be as popular as we all think, but then again second series always sells out regardless so only time will tell i guess!
 
yer bit of a disapointment no predictors i think....
will leave a gap in the set of power ones...
would have liked to have seen them included, even if they didnt do a rookie redemption with them

Definetly seems to be missing a mid level box insert;
So each box will only have 7 Inserts and 3 boxes with 8

4 All Aussie sigs
1 Medal
1 Draft Sig
1 Plat or Prem Comm
+(1 Redemption if lucky)

Gunna be some BORING box breaks

Yer true... you could see where the primership predictors could have fit thats for sure

Lol after 2005 & 2006 u shouldnt be to upset!!! u guys got 100 dps in those years
 
Being a Melbourne supporter, there is plenty to keep me interested in this series.

However, I don't really see where the value is in the boxes. The medal cards and AA cards don't really hold much value (as far as I can tell), so effectively you are paying $150 or so for a draft signature (and even then only about half have any great value) and a platinum card or premiers card.

Seems to me that you are better to take your chances on eBay, unless you really enjoy opening packs.
