Blade, you are correct. I have checked out how this has happened and the file name for the image was incorrectly named by the league photographers that we use. From there we have dowloaded it and kept it as Ben Ta'o because it was a good image (although the wrong player) which is hard to get early in the season when we are putting the 2nd series together. Once cards have been finalised they are all sent for approval (id & stats/copy).
Now, speaking of error cards............I pulled a Gareth Widdop Top Prospect (TP7) from a pack last night and it was numbered 'Player of 300'. Now that is an error card to have in a pack, I mean I can't even send it back to Select for replacement because there is no number on it to stamp on another card to send to me, I will get a scan up as soon as I hook my new MF Printer up.
So Tony (may I call you Tony), what would be your advice on this type of error card?

Doesn't David Middleton do all the stats for the NRL??
We both open a few cases as well as the players signing an extra few cards for any damage or scratches that are caused in the packing process

The extra cards are un-numbered so we can renumber these cards using the damaged card number
I realise that would be the case, stamp the un-numbered card with the same number as the damaged card being returned, in this case, the only way to exchange a TP numbered 'PLAYER' would be if you have numbered cards spare, I certinally would not like to think that Select would just stamp any number on the card and we find there are say two number 300's out there.......now that would be something.
Dave
Tak,
You wouldn't even think about doing it. Apart from being unethical you would be caught out in no time. collectors would lose faith in the sets then you would lose sales.
