Scammed out of $706 - eBay and Paypal do nothing...

I send everything registered at the cost of the buyer. I have been burnt one too many times. So no tracking, no sale!
Ebay would not take it down, and it sold for nearly $200 more than I paid for it last year
Yesterday, I decided to go to my bank and have the credit card charge withdrawn. But when I was printing info out, I saw on the paypal receipt that it was paid by my paypal balance, not my credit card...
FML.

This is horrible mate. 2 shots of scrotum with an anus chaser. I say take a road trip, on your road trip buy a claw hammer. Find this piece of crap and smash him straight in the gob with purchased claw hammer. THAT is all that would right this wrong in my opinion.

That's totally not right, ebay is now all about the buyer and no seller protection whatsoever, I mean you gave them all info to prove that was your card and they still wouldn't help, I also feel sorry for whoever won that card if they ever go to have it graded.
Thats what used to be good about eBay revealing the bidders ID's.
You could 1) see if the seller was trying to up his bids illegally and 2) you could contact the winning bidder in a sitaution like this and alert them to the fact that it is trimmed before they paid...
Geez, it would be fun emailing the winning bidder each time he tried to re-sell it.

You sent it with tracking too - fat lot of good that did - but yeah, he'd probably put a claim in straight away and get you in strife right off the bat anyway. I guess all you can do is spread the word - maybe even post up your experience on American forums and anywhere else you can think of. You never know - it might come back and bite the scum in some unexpected way.
