Question about eBay Feedback

Got some interesting responses. I neg'd the guy who charged $9 for $2 airmail, and left neutral for 2 sellers who charged $4 & $4.25 for $1 airmail. So far I have had responses from the negative and 1 of the neutrals. Here they are -

From the Neutral guy (he seems extremely pissed. Imagine if I left negative) -

Part 1

How dare you leave me neutral feedback? It's called shipping AND HANDLING! There is the cost of the envelope (.79), card holder (.10), tape, gas to drive to the post office, and just like every other seller, my time is worth something. I shipped the card the same day that you paid, made a special trip to the post office to do so, and this is how you respond? If you are not going to say anything nice, don't say anything at all! But remember, in the future, when you buy things from people on eBay HANDLING CHARGES ARE INCLUDED IN THE SHIPPING CHARGE. IT SAYS SO RIGHT IN EBAY'S POLICY.

Part 2

I also forgot to mention eBay's fees which are rising every day. It cost me .60 to list the card, .55 PayPal charge, and another .10 Final Value Fee. If you add that to the previous mentioned charges...I made less than $1.00 on what I charged you. I think my time and effort in Same Day shipping is worth that! Something for you to think about.

Chad, remind me if I'm wrong, but isn't it against eBay policies to include eBay and Paypal fees in the handling???

From the negative I left -

why was negative feedback left, if you were unhappy with the shipping price you should not have bid, your package arrived safe and undamaged so i do not see why you are unhappy when i stated the shipping price in the auction

True that he quoted $9 postage, but didn't state how it was shipped. To a reasonable person, $9 would equate to $5.25 Global Priority, not $2 airmail.

You are right Clarkey you can't charge for eBay fees and paypal fees.

I can see where they are comming from but they should factor it all in. If not then don't list the cheaper cards like that. Then we all jump up and down though. Its a no win situation.

I think what you did was fair.
The way I see it is if they listed the auction for $5 with $1 shipping I'd buy it. If they listed it for $1 with $5 shipping I wouldn't.

You act fair.
I just bought from one seller 46 items. He charged for that US $48.00 from me. I have bought from him before and he sends regular airmail $2.55
Cards are in soft sleeves and are sometimes not in the best shape.
Got from him Vince GU what was broken from back.

I sent him this message:

Hy.

Checked some things here a little and figured out that...
Shipping cost of 46 cards NEVER goes US $48.00
I bought from one seller 87 cards and he took only US $8.00 S&H
I have bought from you cards before.
You even dont put cards into toploaders.
Comes with soft sleeves and are sometimes not in the best shape.
How can you charge $48.00 for S&H ?!?
So. If you dont send me cards with normal shipping and handling cost.
I will leave you negative feedbacks.
And I dont give a shit if you do the same.
I just think thats ripping me off.
thnx.
lmk.

no answer from him two days...but total amount comes with minutes...strange.

Yeah, I sorta feel sorry for the 1st guy I left the neutral for, as he more than likely did the right thing that when he received payment he immediately mailed the item. But I had just gotten sick of sellers charging more than fair amount for handling.
