PSA Submission Results Scans *LOTS OF SCANS* plus PSA Mailday

i got a question for you Graham....Chad....you might be able to help too...

if you have a card graded by say for example 'Gem Elite" or whatever they call themselves, can you send it to say PSA and have them "break" it and re-slab it??

Yep you certainly can, called a Cross-Over. You can even nominate a minimum grade. So - for example - I have a BGS 9 Finest Refractor of Hill , Im thinking of sending it into PSA but wouldnt want less than a PSA10 - so unless it grades a PSA10 they wont break it out of the BGS case.

From the PSA website:

Crossover Service: Cards graded by other third-party firms may be submitted in their holders for PSA grading. This service is available under all service levels. PSA will evaluate the card inside the current holder. If PSA deems the card worthy to cross over into the Customer’s specified minimum grade, the card will be removed from its holder and placed into a PSA holder. If you are willing to accept any PSA opinion, even if the result is evidence of trimming, questionable authenticity, etc., then write "Any" in the column. It may result in the card being returned unholdered. If you are willing to accept any PSA grade, then put "1" in the minimum grade column. Regardless of the result, the grading fee is the same.

Oh my goodness.
LOL at Kidd - I'll take that comment as a compliment. Collecting someone from the same draft year, you probably appreciate those grades as much as I do :D

If it was a GEM graded card i would just recommend busting it yourself and then submitting. The GEM holder and grade may work against you.

congrats on the grades and gem mints simply outstanding, i would love to have some of my cards graded but i am to worried that i might never see them again, how long did you have to wait and have you ever had dramas in the past like not getting some of the cards back ?
