So if the draft does not go ahead tonight, I have just noticed that the scheduled time is 18/11/2011 10 AM UTC +10

As we are on daylight savings time, we are currently +9 - So don't be suprised if it starts 11:00 AEDST (10:30 SA, 07:30 WA)

So who got all the big name free agents? Where did Westbrook and all those big names go?! They went off the market quick.

I saw you guys talking about FA in chat so I quickly got out of My Player mode and joined.

Dwight and Deron were already signed. In my feed it said they "exercised their team/player options" forgot which one of those but yeah. Were they even available for offers in the market or not?

That was a massive relief. Then I realized I only had about $8M to spend. So I quickly signed Ray Ray because I'll need a sharp-shooter. After that I signed two small contracts worth about 500K and 800K to Troy Murphy and Jamario Moon. A good pairing I thought as Murphy can stretch the defense next to Howard, and Moon is one of those handy rotation guys who can hit the 3 and dunk.

I thought that was me done, with no more cap space. Then I realized there is a MLE (mid-level exception) of about $5.75 million. First I offered it to Marcus Thornton, which he accepted. I was about to sign him but thought I'd look in the market to see if a SF was available. Seeing as I already had Ray Ray and Thornton is only 6'4" so he can really only play one position.

Back to the FA pool I threw the MLE at David West, Danilo Gallinari + Gerald Wallace. Strangely the highest rated of the 3, Gerald Wallace was the only one to accept. Even more strange is the fact that his default salary was the highest of the 3 guys, and I had to lower it about $3M per year to fit into the MLE.

So there you have it, the 2012-2013 Dallas Mavericks:

C: Dwight Howard
PF: Troy Murphy
SF: Gerald Wallace
SG: Ray Allen
PG: Deron Williams

Key Rotation Players: Eric Bledsoe, Jamario Moon, Anthony Parker, Derek Fisher & Brandan Wright.

ATM I'm trying to ship Bledsoe because I doubt I'll sub D-Will much when I'm playing. Trying to get a PF who is as good as Murphy if not better, because I'm not 100% confident in his abilities and I'm definitely not confident in Brandan Wright as my primary back-up. Sent Milwaukee a trade request for Udonis Haslem. If rejected Drew Gooden and Al Harrington are also on the market. Also sent Phoenix a trade request for Wesley Johnson, to sure up my wing rotation. PF is more important though because I'm quite happy using a Ray Ray and Crash primarily and having Moon to cover both in the rotation.

I should also probably play some association before the season starts as I've only played MP mode up to this point.

Managed to keep Young and DJ, both for 5 years and both for less than 5Mil starting season DJ declined 12 Mils starting season last year... Thornton decided that only part of the MLE was enough. And Robin Lopez was my key target To make room, I waived Ridnour and Turiaf during the FA period.

Damn happy with who I got and how young and talented my boys are. Thinking of trying to upgrade a position...but not sure which! Probably PG using Young and DJ or something...not sure though!
