Ok so I've decided it's my internet connection...and more specifically my modem...it seems like it might be dropping out for tiny periods which seem to go undetected by most things, expect the connection to 2k...is that even possible?

I've tried hooking up the wired connection instead and that isn't fixing it either. Ring my ISP?

Oh man this is annoying me...I called primus and they lowered my speed to try and guarantee a stable connection (cause they noted that even on their system they could see that I had been dropping out by his words "every 10, to 15 to 30 minutes") but I am thinking the connection was at least fluctuating every 2-5mins which was enough to drop me off 2k and often also enough to sign me out of PSN. I've now isolated the modem by removing the phone/modem filter and we'll see what happens and I'll call them back tomorrow to see what they think. But currently, I can load the leagues, start the game, but drops out within 2mins of starting the game...if it evens gets into the game before dropping out!

Sorry to say, and your ISP wont tell you this, it sometimes doesn't matter what you do. If the infrastructure you are connected to ie copper lines, exchanges etc are all sub par then you will never get a decent connection.
Do you know how far you are away from the exchange as well?
I doubt buying a new modem will help. Maybe you can ask telstra to listen to your line for noise and then clear it.
Another option is to go wireless ie 3G. You can then get a modem for the house that will distripute that 3G to up to 5 devices in your home. At least then you will get a stable connection. Make sure you test out the reception though first, because you could be in a black spot.
Ben, don't bother with it. You definitely aren't in a black spot, but you won't get the latency on 3G. It would be lag city.
Too bad you are just out of range of our 4G service, that would give you a better connection than your broadband.
I swear the gameplay has changed since the update. In both games I have played on Pro since the update, I have been up by ~15 in the 2nd, then quiet literally missed 10-15 shots in a row, with all players, entirely wide open looks, from all over the court, and then found myself down and forcing the scores to come back to level by 3/4 time. I'm sorry, but Augustin, Young, even gay not able to connect on wide open A+ looks with perfect release all of a sudden when people were on fire to get me up big? This hasn't happened to me at all for the 1st month of game play and suddenly twice in 2 games since this update :S

wow just lost a crucial game against the bobcats , needed to beat them as they are 2 gms up on me but there was no stopping kobe and co , think i might tank the my last to games so i dont have to have them in rd 1 of the playoffs lol lost by 10 but was down by 18 at the start of the 4th , computer stepped it up that game

yeah nen its has changed for sure no doubt about it , thank god you noticed it cause i was thinking my team has gone to poo , durant just went 10/32 missing what he normally nails wide open mid range misses ,

Tuned accuracy of directional passing in order to more reliably pass to the intended target.
Improved help defense, specifically for rotations on pick-and-roll situations.
Defensive tuning on 3PT shots to reduce the success of contested threes.
Addressed an issue on drives to the basket where the help defender wouldn’t fully engage in the double team.
ONLINE
Several matchmaking optimizations have been made in order to help users get into games quicker. This will reduce the amount of time the “Searching For Opponent…†screen is displayed for.
Addressed a number of network errors that would cause games to end prematurely.
Addressed an issue in Team-Up where certain conditions would lead to a player standing idle for prolonged periods of time.
Corrected a Win/Loss streak tracking issue such that the “Back to Back to Back†achievement/trophy will now unlock at the proper time.

Yep it was rather ridiculous. Would you believe I shot it 22% in the 3rd quarter and 32% for the 2nd half...and I simply do not force shots. My shots were open money shots. I think I even hit my final 2 of the 3rd quarter, meaning I actually was shooting 2/16 from the field for the quarter. The 4th ended up about average but 43%. Lost to the Jazz...a team I simply should not have lost to. Rudy Gay shot it 4/14 from the field for god sake...defended by a **** defender in Turk and left wide open after faking him out and side stepping 90% of the time. Nick Young 2/8 from the field off wide open shots created by running plays? Ridiculous.

And they say they fixed 3s? Then why am I defending the ball handler on the arc and suddenly as if by some gravitational force I am being dragged off the arc and in towards the key so they suddenly pull up a bury a triple? And no, I'm not using high defensive help on my controller and yes I was using "Pressure the shooters"...That too has not happened to me before this update but suddenly I can't shoot from outside wide open and the CPU pulls you away from the shooter so they get uncontested shots? :S

I'm all for fixing the game, but that shouldn't mean that I suddenly can't hit wide open looks, with good shooters, when I know how to shoot just because I do know how to shoot and managed to hit on 50+% of my shots early on. It's not like BS AFL Umpiring Free Kick counts, the stats do not have to even up! Gah!

Got smashed last night (can't remember who against as I'm half asleep still). Kept letting Rose an Beasley get wide open. Did manage to get 14 blocks though, 3 of those with Raymond Felton
That was me. And yep, i get blocked alot because Rose is a slasher.
I've played one game since the update and didn't find much different.
Sounds exactly like me after the last update where i couldn't hit wide open 3's and subsequently went on a 6 game skid...couldnt figure it out and nobody else seemed to have an issue.
If only it were only the wide open 3s... Try wide open EVERYTHING! Will be interesting to see how it affects things, but it potentially breaks half the SGs in this game...cause just half of them have ~65 Mid range rating or lower and 80s 3pt. If they suddenly can't hit the 3 ball either, then wow do they become useless on O...

So...you reckon they could fix online association injuries? Just had a guy injured. Meant to miss 5 games. Back next game...
