Please Help: What to collect???

Hi all,

Well after deciding to start collecting again, im stuck on what NBA cards to collect. Im looking for good sets which contain Autos and swatch cards, and redemptions would be good to. i hae had a look at upper deck and panini cards which look good but i would prefer to start by collecting 1 type first to build a collection.

Which sets have the best bang for your buck when it comes to hobby boxes?

In all honesty, and IMO only, Panini is the ONLY way to go these days. They have the NBA licence, so where Upper Deck release cards, they're all in college uniforms these days, as they're not permitted to display NBA players in NBA Jerseys.

Check out the General Forum thread, and read the Panini Blogs, they post up new releases, etc, and that'll give you a good idea on what you like, you then need to work out pricing, etc. Heap of local guys here selling boxes, so check the For Sale threads too!
