Photos from my Holiday to Africa

Brilliant.
Vic Falls looks a bit underwhelming though, what is the actual size of it do you know? Do they promote it as a big touristy thing?
What did you think of it?

Actually it was the end of the dry season so that's why not much water, still fairly impressive. They say that when it's in full flow its actually difficult to see because of all of the spray. The actual viewing area in on the other side of the gorge and in some spots it was like it was raining from the spray. In wet season it can be difficult to view.

Not sure how big, but its big.

It is a must see place to go to but with Zimbabwes economy being so crap they really can't afford to market it too much.

Awesome pics Garth and beautiful travel so savage :p . that's must be very impression to be near the king of the savane .

Thanks for sharing with us.

Wow, what a trip mate. Some of natures finest for sure!

Were you a little nervous around the cats?

Thanks for the pic's as well!

Not nervous at all cause they couldn't care less about you. Funny thing is you can leave the motor of the 4 wheel drive running and be parked right next to the animal and they totally ignore you, turn that motor off and they have vanished.

You beat me to correcting Nick, Garth!! Awesome trip and awesome photo's. I take it you weren't in cheetah territory...

Yes was in Cheetah territory but there range is 40 square kilometres compared to 20 for Lions and Leopards so just a lot harder to sight. I was just rapped to see a leopard and got extra lucky as the photos are of two separate leopards seen over different days in different camps that were quite some distance apart.

If there were lions and leopards about then you probably wouldn't see cheetahs. Lions - and even leopards - have a habit of predating on Cheetahs ... mainly to assert territorial rights.
