I just purchased an Authentic Tony Parker Jersey from NY using PayPal Invoice. I asked the seller to do a better price, but he wanted to use PayPal on its own so he didn't get the eBay fees.
I had no problems at all as the seller put in the invoice description that it was for the Jersey.
I understand the seller requesting to use PayPal on its own to save on fees, but I am not sure why the buyer would request it??? Do you know why he wants to do it outside of eBay?
The card will be part of his PC collection and he wants it before the bidding ends and I'm ain't making big money out of doing this. More in helping out a PC collector.
I use them when people are going to pay me with paypal goods. I've sent two off recently, one to be paid next week and the other near the end of the month. It gives you, the seller, the power to describe the items and protect yourself from possible claims - basically say "(item) condition near mint or better".
They still get buyer protection in that you have to prove delivery.
