Howdy all

A buyer from the US has requested that I pull a card of Ebay < $60 and has suggested that I used paypal invoice.

Has anyone used Paypal invoice before? How does it protect the seller? I believe it is similar to the usual paypal process that we are all doing.

A google search shows that I still have to follow paypal rules and that means having registered post ~ AUD$20 minimum cost.

Will like some input.

Cheers
Clem

I just purchased an Authentic Tony Parker Jersey from NY using PayPal Invoice. I asked the seller to do a better price, but he wanted to use PayPal on its own so he didn't get the eBay fees.

I had no problems at all as the seller put in the invoice description that it was for the Jersey.

I understand the seller requesting to use PayPal on its own to save on fees, but I am not sure why the buyer would request it??? Do you know why he wants to do it outside of eBay?

The card will be part of his PC collection and he wants it before the bidding ends and I'm ain't making big money out of doing this. More in helping out a PC collector.

Fair enough! As long as he covers the excess postage I don't see why it would be a problem!

Still, its a bit of a muck around just to get it a bit earlier???

Yeah, got a few emails on why I ended the auction.... Feel crap doing it....

I use them when people are going to pay me with paypal goods. I've sent two off recently, one to be paid next week and the other near the end of the month. It gives you, the seller, the power to describe the items and protect yourself from possible claims - basically say "(item) condition near mint or better".
They still get buyer protection in that you have to prove delivery.
