Paris Hilton's jail time.

From 45 days, to 23 days, and now she's out after three days.

Most people are thinking one thing - what a joke!

I'm thinking something else - great work by her lawyer. Not only did he get her back to her home, which is palatial (for anyone else, this would be the kid of thing they pay for), but he got her credit for spending five days in jail after starting her term just before midnight on one day, and bailing just after midnight on another, adding two days to her time spent in jail.

I think it's wrong as it sets a dangerous standard for others to get out of smaller jail terms by requesting the same treatment. It makes a bit of a mockery of the justice system, but I can't blame Paris or the lawyer for attempting to exploit a situation that is there to be exploited.

She has a ankle tracking device on that forces her to stay in her home for 43 days, so she's home jailed.
Weak cop out in my opinion, but at least it's still a penalty

Yeah, when you're living in a mansion with anything you want at your fingertips, it doesn't seem like such a bad punishment, does it?

So, she can't go to a club for 40 days... have a cry, Paris. She probably considers this harsh.

Try no punishment! I mean she got caught 3 or 4 times drink driving with no licence! A regular joe doing that would cop years!

This has always been a joke..

You don't really get that kind of treatment in asia though..

but this is much better than Celebrities going to rehab after heroine arrests, where in many countries, u get death penalty...

It's a complete joke, she's a complete joke, and even after seeing a Shrink (who probably got paid out from the Hilton's), most OTHER people wouldnt be let out...

I'm sure Martin Bryant (the Port Arthur mass murder) has seen a million shrinks, and he's never been moved from where he is.

I know it's a different level of comparison, but you get my drift.

Mind you, she won't REALLY miss it, they have enough as it is.

The rich & poor have never been equal before the justice system.

Paris Hiltons situation is a classic example as well as some political moves in the past and it threatens our democracy. But i'll try not to bring my political agenda here.

Bullshit. Complete bullshit.

Being placed under home arrest is a pretty soft option regardless, but when you own a mansion and have masses of cash to keep you from getting bored, its not really a sentence at all... I personally find her pretty borish, but there is plenty of people who worship her for being a dumb, rich skank
