Looking at getting into the whole sneaker collecting thing but have no idea where to start.
Where is the best place to buy new sneakers ?
Where is the best place to buy older sneakers?
Is it common practice to wear the sneakers u collect?
If not planning to wear them is there a common size to buy?
Any other suggestions would help
Cheers Jason

Where is the best place to buy new sneakers ? Your local footlocker, but you'll likely have to camp to get the hyped stuff. If you're quick enough on the net, you can sometimes buy online at the time of release. But if you're even 2 minutes after the exact release time, your chances are very very slim.
Where is the best place to buy older sneakers? Search for shoe pages on facebook. 'Nike Sneakers Australia/Nz is a good place to start.
Is it common practice to wear the sneakers u collect? Up to the individual. Some people collect whilst also wearing a rotation of 4-5 pairs.
If not planning to wear them is there a common size to buy? My strong advice is to buy your own size. If you buy another size, you are only hurting the sneaker game by dudding someone else out of a pair of shoes. But up to you.
Any other suggestions would help
Cheers Jason

If you want something that's really hyped and want a garanteed pair, www.kicks-crew.com charge a premium to secure a pair of shoes prior to release.. but they don't get everything.
And because you go into a queue, you can still miss out if the size you are after sells out. Obviously they will fully refund you.

pickyourshoes.com used to be really good, also eastbay.com is hugely popular.

I still get a lot of my stuff from the bay, but you have to be really careful with fakes on there.. do your research first, or post links in here if you want to ask if they're legit.. or if they're nikes, post them up in the facebook page I mentioned above, they are always happy to help spot fakes or advise on websites to buy off.. etc.

Good luck!

Footlocker but as Ben said you will need to line up for pretty much most Jordan releases and they are hyped to hell these days
Eastbay is also good but postage to Oz is expensive so uless you are buying 2-3 its not worth in unless its a very limited shoe

Where is the best place to buy older sneakers?
Ebay or facebook sites buy again most people on the facebook sites overcharge
Is it common practice to wear the sneakers u collect?
Myself yes i only buy the size i can actually wear if i choose to
If not planning to wear them is there a common size to buy?
There are a few common sizes but cant give away all my info :)
Any other suggestions would help
That would be only collect shoes you like and are going to wear. Jordans are hyped to hell at the moment and like i said you will need to line up very early to get most pairs.
Cheers Jason

As Mike pointed out, some sites have stupidly expensive rates for freight. I remember the good old days when it was between US$15-25 to have shoes sent from the US, now they want US$30-55!!!
I have made a few good and trustworthy mates through card trading that live in the US, so I get shoes sent to them to re-send to me here for around US$20 on average.

looks like no one is buying the thunder 14's they look cheap...shame we arent getting the ferrari's

nothing wrong with reebok...kamikaze sold...shaq attaq sold...the blacktop pump looks epic

i'm really loving these atm....ppl saying that southbeach colourway is played out....pfft...this design was MEANT for the SB...might swap my laces soon too

I'm not dissing Reebok for retroing.. I've copped the Kamikaze I's (2 pairs), the Kamikaze II's, the Shaq Attaq and Shaqnosis..

But all in OG CW..

Kamikaze I's are one of my favorite designs ever.

But the majority of the new CW's are dogsh1t, just ruining the nostalga. Trying to outdo Nike.. which will never happen. Though can't blame them for trying.
