Kyle lowry 7/10 from 3 - with 5 minutes remaining. More than half of the raptors field goals made have been from behind the three point line. Jonas Valančiūnas is also gonna be out for a while, fractured finger in his left hand.

I'm hoping that the 4th qtr of the Lakers v Suns was the start of the penny dropping for D'Angelo Russell - where he put up 11 points in 6 minutes, and was aggressively manuvering around the screen and toward the rim instead of trying to defer to the shooters all the time like he has in the previous 10 games of the season... Easily the best 5:45 he's played to date (and yes, I know where the score line was at). If he starts aggressive, it will create space for other parts of his game to flourish.

My boy D'Angelo has carried over that form - 17 points so far this game.

Since '85-'86 when basketball reference has the data, only Kristaps Porzingis and Josh Smith have recorded games with at least 24 points, 14 rebounds, 7 blocks and 2 three-pointers made. Excluding the three pointers, he is the youngest player since '85-'86 to record 24/14/7, with Shaquille O'Neal being the only other 20-year old to do so.

Cousins 29pts 12reb 6ast 3blk
Rondo 13pts 7reb 9ast 3stl
Jordan Hill 20pts 11reb
Kevin Love 25pts 11reb
Wade 27pts 7reb 4ast
Porzingis 24pts 14reb 7blk
Harden 24pts 7reb 10ast 3stl

In the early battle between two NBA Rookie of the year candidates, KAT and Okafor will face each other when the Sixers meet the Wolves tomorrow. I think KAT has a slight edge in the race for ROY at the moment, beating Okafor in every statistical category except scoring which pundits will attribute to his lower playing minutes. This early season show down could help in determining who wins the ROY. Kristaps has been surprisingly good but not quite up there to challenge these two right now.

KAT stats:
52% FG, 91% FT, 10.4 RPG, 2.4 BPG, 16.0 PPG
Okafor stats:
47% FG, 64% FT, 7.7 RPG, 1.6 BPG, 17.9 PPG

Also have Kristaps Porzingis matching Anthony Davis rookie stats so far:

Anthony Davis 28.8mpg, 13.5 pts/8.2 rbs/1.8 blks
Kristaps Porzingis 26.1mpg, 13.2 pts/8.8 rbs/1.5 blks
