There are only a handful of players in the league that really rub me the wrong way, enough that I despise them: CP3, Draymond, Harden, Cousins, Rondo and I'm sure there are a couple of others.
CP3 and Green are in the same boat where they manipulate the game and refs as much as they can but moan like babies when anything is called against them. Does my head in. Paul has just been doing it longer, that's why I have Green the nod over him, nothing to do with performance.

If he left, I would see him similar to Wes Matthews in Dallas. Big bucks for a glorified 3 and D guy. You can't win if that is your No1 IMO

Yeah I don't see it with Klay. Good player but he's on that second tier, definitely not a franchise player and he's not on Harden's level whether people like Harden or not. Harden had an MVP season last year and Klay is nowhere near that level as he isn't a play maker, just a scorer. I'm not sure I could see him averaging 30 even on a garbage team.

Would love to hear some comparisons of franchise guys that Klay reminds you of. So far I have R. Allen and R. Miller and he's not on their level. Maybe he could be a Joe Johnson with Atlanta kind of guy but he'd need to get a better dribble and become a better play-maker.

At the moment he benefits from having an MVP to take the defenses focus off him.

Has anyone bothered to do the research in how the last few spots in the west are going to play out?

Dal vs Uta today which will impact it.
Needs to beat Min today and if Dal win, then Hou and Uta will be tied for 8th. I wonder who holds the tiebreaker?

Assume Mem loses to GSW then Dal could move up depending on tiebreakers too?!?

So Houston is tied for season head to heads with both Uta and Dal so it comes down to division and then conference. Hou beats dal in division unless dallas beats the Spurs and Hou beats Uta in conf.

So if dal beats Uta today and Houston beats min then sac, Hou is in I think.

Dal could take 5th if they win out because Mem will probably lose to lac and GSW to finish.

That would make

GSW vs Hou
SAS vs Mem
OKC vs dal
Lac vs por

First round

I think as a spurs fan I would rather Dallas in the first for slightly less travel, but you would think Mem would be a sweep so they should get a good break before r2

I think you nailed it on the players who Klay would most be like. Ray and Reggie were both 3 point specialists who played off the ball and were primarily catch and shoot type scorers who could occasionally drive and finish. Off the dribble, they were guardable, but get those feet set and it's all over. If you look into their stats at Klay's age, the numbers are eerily similar for all 3 players, all around 22 ppg scorers, around the same shooting percentages from FG, 3PG and FT. And that's with Klay being the secondary option. I have no doubt that he could bump that up to 25-27ppg quite easily as the main go-to-guy. How do you figure that Klay isn't quite on their level? If you mean in terms of overall careers, then sure, he's still too young to say but if it's at this age in their respective careers, I think he's right up there.

There's plenty of flaws with the argument that Klay would score more as a first option on a different team. Right now he's surrounded by incredible passers and screeners that get him great looks. Say he goes elsewhere and becomes no.1 option and focus for opposing defenses and we'll see how he goes, along with no Steph who draws 2 and 3 defenders each trip down. It'll be interesting to see how long he stays with GS.

Ray Allen was 2nd option in Mil alot of the time and then when he was the leader in SEA he had some nice stats but even he struggled to be a "franchise guy" which I wouldn't even call him that. They missed the Playoffs a lot. And I'm a massive Ray Ray fan. He also got more boards and way more assists than Klay. Which is my main argument why Klay is not a guy you would build a team around, he's not a playmaker at all and his game is limited still.

I'm not seeing the Franchise tag for Klay, but we may never get to see him lead a team, he'd be stupid to leave GS. They could own the League for the next 5 or so years.

Nah, shutting them down in the fourth. Memphis can't make a come back to warrant the starters checking back in.
