Cavs would love to get deal done Sunday. But NOT there yet. Lakers still looking for extra asset + Pau-for-Bynum alone doesn't work cap-wise
I wouldnt mind it as much if waiters was added. They could waive Bynum and keep waiters, still tank and pick up another good young player and with players like Young, Henry, Hill, Waiters a good draft pick the team would be heading in the right direction.

Andrew Bynum almost certainly is entering his final few hours with the Cavaliers, though whether he leaves by trade or waivers is still undetermined. The Cavs have until 5 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday to make a move to avoid paying the second half of his $12.25 million salary. Contracts are fully guaranteed on Friday, but players must be released by Tuesday in order to clear waivers. The Cavs could save $6 million by releasing him by the 5 p.m. deadline, as could any team that trades for him and then releases him by that deadline. It is still possible that if the Cavs do not find a deal to their liking they could pay the additional $6 million and continue to try to make a deal, but that seems unlikely.
