Official 2013-14 NBA Regular Season Thread - SPOILERS!

Dirk Nowitzki, Shawn Marion and Vince Carter all come off the books at the end of this year, leaving the Mavericks with only about $32 million committed for 2014-15. And though it’s difficult to imagine owner Mark Cuban not keeping Nowitzki, it’s equally tough to fathom a team as forward-thinking as the Mavs choosing to build around three players who will be at least 36 by the start of next season. Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that the team has waived guards Shannon Brown, Malcolm Lee and Kendall Marshall. The trio was acquired from Phoenix, along with center Marcin Gortat, in exchange for center Emeka Okafor and a 2014 protected first round draft pick. The Houston Rockets have waived center Marcus Camby and guard Reggie Williams to reach the roster limit of 15. Camby signed with Houston in late July after the Toronto Raptors bought out his contract earlier in the month. Toronto had acquired the 17-year veteran as part of the trade that sent forward Andrea Bargnani to the New York Knicks. 9news.com - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.ZVbQJneW.dpuf

Interesting start, 12-0 to start the game by Indiana, then magic come back

Roy Hibbert 10 boards in 1st quarter

lakers bench did all the damage...Xavier Henry, Jordan Farmar, Jodie Meeks and Jordan Hill...they dont need Kobe lol

hahaha! The Clippers just don't get it! It is not about how cool you look on the court, it is about trying to win games!!!!
Last year the Lakers looked terrible AND forgot how to win games though. At least the Clippers are doing something right ;)
Pretty sure the doc will tear them to shreds after today's sh*tty effort. Was pretty embarrassing to be a clips fan. Griffin looks like he spent the entire offseason playing 2K13 instead of actually working on his moves. Hasn't gotten any better since his rookie year. :/

They will never change! They are all too worried about putting the ball behind their back and dunking the ball as hard as they can instead of just passing and scoring points!

Blake did it twice in the short time I watched. Once he caught the ball and passed it through his hands around his back instead of just passing normally to Paul. Then, on a fast break, he went for the behind the back dribble instead of just passing and it caused a turnover!

Blake and Deandre Jordan are the worst, but if they want to be seen as a serious contender, they need to stop the games and just get the job done. They certainly have the personnel to do it.

Lovin the Lakers win today. Not expecting a great season but have been saying since before the preseason that they won't be as bad as everybody is saying (not a good thing for picks). They looked like a TEAM again and the high scoring game will be fun to watch. Might even pull off a few upsets on their way to a low seeded playoff berth ;)

PS. loved that Pau and Nash were the loudest supporters on the bench in the fourth
