2mOden, I'm told, will report to Miami on Monday to formally sign his contract. Two-year deal at league minimum with player option in Year 2
Thoughts?
I am actually looking forward to seeing Oden back in the League!
The Heat will nurse him cautiously and carefully back, and limit his use. He (if healthy) is the missing piece they need against teams like the Pacers who have a big bodied Center. It'll be no different to the approach they employed with Mike Miller...nurse him through the season and unleash him for the Playoffs. I believe it's a great move for the Heat and if Oden can contribute in some way at the end of the season then it may well be a 3 peat for the Heat!!!Thoughts?

Mike Conley Sr., Oden's agent, on why Greg Oden signed with the Heat: "Obviously, the Heat is a very good team and they can bring him along slowly,'' Conley said. "And he has a chance to win a championship. I think the coaches have good feel for bringing him along. "Greg is really excited. It's been a long process and he's glad to get it over with.'' Sulia
The Pistons are looking strong and not settling for a lottery pick in 2014!I'm loving the Jennings trade to the Pistons! He brings some needed swagger, and if he gets too cocky Chauncey will be there to bring him down to earth. Just like Ron Harper did with a young Kobe at the Lakers back in the early 2000's.
The Pistons now have good shooters with Jennings, Billups, KCP and Datome. That will space the floor and give the bigs room to go to work. Everyone was saying that Josh Smith would clog the front line, but the good shooters will help nullify that.
Pistons will push for a late playoffs spot I reckon.

The ruptured Achilles’ tendon suffered by Kobe Bryant on April 12, 2013 against the Golden State Warriors ended the star’s incredible late-season run. The initial recovery timetable was set at six to nine months. However, recent reports suggest he may be ready to return for not just the start of the 2013-14 regular season, but as early as training camp. While on tour in China, he said the surgery performed was innovative and thus his recovery has been unique. “The surgical procedure was different […] and because of that the recovery has been different,” Bryant said in the southern city of Shenzhen. “The normal timetable for recovery from an Achilles, we’ve shattered that. Three-and-a-half months I can already walk just fine, I’m lifting weights with the Achilles just fine and that’s different. So we don’t know what that timetable is going to be. It’s kind of new territory for us all.”’ NBA.com
so the 13-14 Season schedule got released overnight, which means I was able to work out which game I will be able to go see during my quick trip over on January!
Looks like I will be attending the Spurs vs Timberwolves on Jan 13 in SA!
We were also planning a stop over in Memphis (wife wants to see Graceland) and it just so happens that the Spurs are going to be in town to play the Grizzlies on that day too! #winning
That was my first thought! Would be awesome to see a healthy Rubio and Love as well!Hopefully the wolves are healthy when u get to catch them.
Very jealous, what seats will you try and get? That was my first thought! Would be awesome to see a healthy Rubio and Love as well!

They vary in price a lot depending on the view. I would love seats near courtside, but it is a fair amount of money. But i wouldn't want to be right at the back, especially if it is the only NBA game you are watching on your trip!
Haha, i like your thinking. Kidney for courtside tickets? The Best seats available!
I want to be the guy throwing the ball up for the opening tip! lol
Seriously though, definitely going to buy court side if I can find them!
