Official 2013-14 NBA Regular Season Thread - SPOILERS!

I don't think those 3 words belong together......

Canadian men’s national team coach Jay Triano expects Andrew Wiggins, Tyler Ennis, Anthony Bennett and the country’s talented young core of basketball players to compete in Olympic qualifying in 2015. But he says the big payoff with this group might not come until the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. “The future’s going to be great,” Triano, an assistant with the Portland Trail Blazers, told SheridanHoops.com on Wednesday following a 94-90 win over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. ”But it’s not going to happen overnight. It’s not going to happen at the next Olympics, it might be the following Olympics.” SheridanHoops - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.PH8JltLA.dpuf

Indiana Pacers superstar Paul George tells TMZ Sports ... he never EVER offered to pay a woman $1 million to abort her unborn child -- but if the kid is his, he's ready and willing to do the right thing. We're told ... back in 2013, George had a relationship with a woman from Miami named "Daniela" -- a woman who is currently pregnant. The releationship went through the end of the summer ... but in November, Daniela informed George she was pregnant and she believes he is the father. In a statement to TMZ Sports, George says ... "If and when there is legal confirmation that I am the father, I will fully embrace my responsibilities. This is a personal matter that is still being sorted out, so I hope you can respect my privacy. " TMZ.com - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.PH8JltLA.dpuf

Despite the Cleveland Cavaliers' firing of Chris Grant, Mike Brown's future appears stable at the moment, with Dan Gilbert supporting the head coach who is in the first year of a long-term contract.
"We’re going to see Mike Brown succeed this year,'' Gilbert said. "I think he will be able to do good things in the next 30 games or so. I think this team is going to be able to do good things. They’re going to look at each other, look in the mirror, and they’re going to rally. We’re going to do everything we can to give them the air cover they need.''
The Cavaliers own a 16-33 record into Friday night's game at Washington.
Gilbert expects the Cavaliers to be aggressive in this month's trade deadline.
"I think we’ll be aggressive at the trading deadline -- historically we have, anyway,'' Gilbert said. "I think we will and we potentially have a lot of opportunity there. We’re looking forward to working with David Griffin, and whatever it takes, 24 hours a day for the next two weeks. Hopefully we’ll find opportunities.''

any thoughts on who/what? Can't see them being that big of a player given the players they have?
Iriving - lots of value
Deng - Good value - but depends if he can be traded?
Varajo, waiters, thompson - some value
Dellavedova - Some value as a good performing rookie
Miles - little value
Bennett - Some value as #1 pick, but shown nothing so really no value
Zeller, Clark, Sims,Gee,Felix,Karasev - Little to no value

Draft picks they'll have could be valuable - (Already have given up their 2015 pick to bulls, unless 1-14)

because people say he's overrated.. because his dunks were all over youtube. So now the rest of his game goes unnoticed. His ball handling and passing are amazing for a big guy.
He is unreal in the low post.... but DAMN that jump shot is Uuuugggllllyyyyyyyyy!!!!!

it's not as ugly as it used to be - he used to have this massive hitch at the top of his jump, like he was in 2 minds about actually letting the ball go. But yeah he still really flings it at the hoop, not a lot of arc happening. I'm sure he will get better, apparently he works really hard.

It's the stiffness of his body! He looks like a video game player!
