Oh snap... Just read that Mavs are looking to dump/trade Delonte West (sad), and are looking to fill a void in the middle with..... Eddie Curry (ICK).

Was always going to be a bit of a bottle-neck at the guard spots, when we have 8 or so guards, but surely there's better bigs???

I reckon they should have thrown an offer at Blair! Curry could have stayed with the Spurs doing what Blair has been doing for them lately - bench warming!

At least Blair is a solid RELIABLE strong inside body!
 
Suspended guard Delonte West will not return to the Dallas Mavericks, a source said. The team is in the process of negotiating terms of West's departure with his agent, Dan Fegan, after the fiery guard was suspended Thursday for conduct detrimental to the team. It was the second time the team suspended West in two weeks, although the first suspension lasted only 21 hours, ending after West met with coach Rick Carlisle and president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson. The source said both suspensions stemmed from frequent behavioral missteps by West, an eight-year veteran who was a valuable role player for the Mavs last season, averaging 9.6 points and 3.2 assists while playing tenacious defense at both guard spots. A source said the Mavs have agreed to non-guaranteed deals with a pair of veterans, swingman Chris Douglas-Roberts and center/forward Melvin Ely. They will join the team Friday morning. The Mavs, who are in the process of parting ways with Delonte West, will likely choose between one of the three newcomers for their final roster spot. One potential roadblock could be if negotiations don't progress with West's agent, Dan Fegan, and the Mavs opt to leave West on the suspended list. ESPN.com

Thursday, Oct. 25• Cleveland signed guard D'Aundray Brown.
• Dallas suspended guard Delonte West indefinitely for unspecified conduct detrimental to the team. Claimed center Eddy Curry off waivers from San Antonio.
• Denver waived guard Anthony Carter and guard Ben Uzoh.
• Golden State exercised their third-year option on the contract of guard Klay Thompson.
• Philadelphia exercised the fourth-year option on the contract of guard Evan Turner.
