Official 2012-13 Offseason thread - trades, rumours, etc

I just read something interesting on Bleacher Report so I don't trust it too much. I personally hate this but I'd be keen to find out what people think.

Apparently, the Nuggets have offered Orlando Andre Miller, Al Harrington, Wilson Chandler, Kenneth Faried and the rights to Evan Fournier & Quincy Miller for Dwight Howard.

I hope like hell that this doesn't go down.

Damn, if that does happen, and assuming Dwight WON'T want to stick around in Denver, that leaves them with a MASSIVE chunk missing!! Not to mention, they'd struggle to win a championship...

agreed, this is why i also hope chicago are not doing some secret trade ideas in the back to get dwight for one year only to have him enter the free agency next year and end up in brooklyn anyway..

Looks like Blair is drawing interest from GSW

The Warriors would have an interest in San Antonio big man DeJuan Blair, according to a source. But the Spurs want a first-round pick in exchange. With no bias at all, Blair is one of the biggest bargains around at the moment! He wouldnt be available if the Spurs didn't sign Diaw and he has a great pick game and is a hard worker under the rim. I think there are a lot of teams that would/should go after him.... NOW

by the end of last season, he was the best 11th man in the league IMO!!

If Denver gave up 2013 1st round pick and got Blair, I'd be stoked!

You know what?? I am actually ok with Brooklyn. There are about 6-7 teams that would devastate me if he went to them, but the Nets is cool! I like GSW too, which was a "possibility"

Blair is really a one year proposition at this stage due to being in the final year of a very cheap contract, with any team willing to trade a 1st round draft pick having to know that Blair is gonna want to get paid next offseason, which I think he deserves, or risk him going for nothing in return.

Yeah, but there are ways around that! If SA choose not to renew before Jan he would be an UFA wouldn't he? Even so, there is a weak class next year and taking the Bear instead of flipping the coin is a good choice IMO

Glad you approve haha!

We don't have Hump signed yet, fighting with the Bobcats for him it seems. But either way would like to see him at Brooklyn (see, I got it right this time ); I think he's a quality player and could even start for us or if we sign Hump then could be the first big off the bench. If we don't sign Hump, then he could be the board eater!

Only thing though, if we DO sign Hump, then we would have Hump starting and then that Turkish guy probably backing him up...... dunno how good that guy is though.
