Official 2011-2012 Playoff thread

Really Sefo with the game winner try? Where's Durant on the last shot?

Durant isn't clutch, he doesn't have the heart of a champion, couldn't handle the pressure etc etc etc

See how stupid that sounds LBJ haters :D
Amazing how a win will quickly erase the memory of a Lebron late missed 3 point shot or all of Durant's amazing plays in the fourth quarter. Welcome to the conundrum and script flipping that is the story of Lebron.

2 Major Fails today IMO

1) OKC allowing the Heat to get up by 17 in the first! WTF?? You are at home and can not give that luxury to a visiting team EVER

2) Heat allowing it to get back to 2 points. Not sure who decided to leave Lebron off for so much of the 4th, but I personally would rather have seen him on and protecting the 12-15 point lead instead of being rested ready for the 'clutch'. Maybe a few minutes rest at about the 10min mark. Yeah, sure he would have got more grief about not being the game winner, but if he was on longer at the start of the 4th, he wouldn't have needed a game winner!

Looks like it was Westbrook with the last shot not Sefo (nice work NBA TV) my appologies, i should have known it would have been Westbrick who had a crack

Now we got ourselves a real series. MIA win the next 3 at home for the championship!!!

O.K maybe not but it would be nice

Yeah, I find that odd! Why is it 2,3,2? That is a HUGE advantage to Miami, when OKC was meant to have Hom Advantage right?

Been that way forever drob...still equates for 4 games to the home team.

Yeah, I know, I am more so wondering the reasoning behind it??? Maybe to take away the advantage?? And make it so both need to win away to take a series in 6 or less!

Home court advantage to OKC, they dont have to win on the road. Miami does, but I expect that OKC could win at least one and turn this into a 7 game series.

Well done Miami. Showed true grit to win that one. All big 3 came to play esp Bosh. His work on the glass was awesome.

Durant almost forced the win but alas it wasn't to be. Big chance for Miami to wrap this up in the next 3 but I do believe no one has ever won 3 games in a row in the finals since the 2,3,2 format was introduced? Still records are meant to be broken.

Edit: Sorry Mavs won 3 in a row last year for the first time. Has anybody won 4?

Clutch ft!? He only took them because he couldn't pass them off :p

J/k! Just happy to have a series now! Miami now have a legit shot at it! This is their best chance yet!

The big three for Miami was the big four tonight, Battier was the game winner. Best game he has had for a while, lets hope he can keep that up for the remainder of the series.

While I agree he was the difference, let's face it, he ain't gonna keep it up!

NBA introduced the 2-3-2 for travel reasons in 1984ish(?) If two teams from opposite sides of the country eg Lakers/Celtics, played off then the travel for games 5-6 and 6-7 would be too taxing (apparently). In that entire period of time only two teams have won the 3 middle games in a row. MJ's Bulls won 3 against Magic in LA and Miami got Dallas in 06. The Rockets swept Orlando in 95 so they won 4 in a row but didn't get a chance to play a 3rd at home.

another great game. MIA cant afford to keep on blowing leads tho. huge start, tied second, lost by 1 in third and got beat in the 4th
on the flipside OKC cant afford such terrible starts

here's hoping to a real long series!!!

MIA are primed now. just dont drop one at home :)

man that kid durant is pretty good and so is that lebron

Wow what a game.

Firstly, Most know I don't want Miami to win but have tipped they would. (Still hoping the won't).

What Juwan Howard did from the sideline was PATHETIC!!!!

Getting up to yell at Durant when he took a 3 in front of their bench. Howard was one of the most overpaid has beens of all time. He is a joke. It will kill me to see him get a ring. I never rated that guy even when he was in his "prime". I hope OKC can somehow roll these guys but I think they would need to win 2 in Miami. If it goes back to OKC at 3-2 Miami. I just think Lebron will not let things slip again.

Battiers awful banked 3 hurt badly and the no foul call was horrible (YES IT WAS A FOUL, EASY CALL).

Would been great to see Durant at the line to tie things up like it should've been.

Looking forward to game 3.
