Official 2011-2012 Playoff thread

I used to like the Clippers, but havent watched many of their games since the early part of the season. But now, I can't stand them!

The amount of dives I saw from Jordan and Butler in particular was just terrible. And they are not even good at it! At least when Manu does it, there is actually contact which COULD be a foul and he just tries to encourage the call.

This game just shows exactly how much depth the Spurs have. TP just could not get it going tonight, but it didn't matter. Kawhi lit it up, Diaw made some sweet passes, Timmy hit 26 points and his 133rd career playoff double double, but I think the best performer today was Danny Green. Once Pop realised Parker couldn't go with CP3, he moved Green onto him and shut him down!

Bledsoe was impressive though! Would be better if he was on a different team though!

I was very happy with today's basketball. The Heat game was ugly for alot of it. Lebron is a freak of a player but he's really grinding on me now. I think he's listened to all that "he's like Magic Johnson" talk. He should go out and score 40 like he could every game.
Never mind K.G as a dirty player, D.Wade has plenty of dirtiness about him. He gets real dirty when they're losing. At least K.G is just a pest all the time:) This series is getting good now. Gonna be lots of aggression and physicality game 3 in Indy. Cannot wait.

I was also impressed with Paul George, had some HUGE 3's and that block on Lebron was probably the difference down the stretch.

I hope the Heat continue to lose. It actually would'nt be a bad bet to get on the Pacers to win the east. $13 I think it is.

Obviously was happy to see the Spurs start well without actually playing that well. Diaw was such a good pick up. He really makes the Spurs better at both ends. Here's to another good day tomorrow. I actually hope the Lakers win. Spurs need OKC to do it tough, not another sweep please.

man pacers tough win... great work

it shows how much miami misses anther scoring option... bron and wade score 26 of last 29 pts for miami... most importantly, scoreless in final 2mins 30secs...

bron YET AGAIN not willing to take any shots towards end of game... really lacks killer instinct

further to this point... other 3 time mvp award winning superstars, guys like jordan/bird, would NEVER EVER want to or allow the coach to try and make them a decoy to a game winning play... thats a cop out for bron and not strong enough stance from spoelstra either - p!ss weak actually... shits me how talented he is but doesnt have the balls to try and take that last minute shot for fear of failing... this bullsh!t that he keeps coming out with that his teammates are in better positions than him to score are just hogwash... you are THE man, start acting like it and put your balls and reputation on the line... put your team on your back like every other superstar does

LeBron James LEADS the entire playoffs in 4th quarter scoring with 8.3 PPG. In this series against the Pacers, LeBron is averaging 15 PPG in the 4th quarter alone.

Now its all about the Last Shot lol

sure is bout that young fella... 4th quarter scoring is one thing, but clutch game winning shots are a completely different beast

he likes to score when there is no pressure and most players in the L are talented enough to do that, man he SHOULD be leading the league in 4th qtr scoring given he is a multi award winning mvp - who else is gonna step up to the plate on the heat? haslem, miller, chalmers, cole, anthony?? hardly inspiring choices... plus miami rely on him so much - why then doesnt he step up to the plate when it is all on the line based on your arguement??

problem with bron is that he defers to others when there is pressure... he doesnt want the burden of responsibility to be on his shoulders - i think he has a fear of failure... obviously they did it here and there but could you imagine mj deferring to steve kerr consistently or bird deferring to danny ainge consistently to win games?? it wouldn't happen because those guys would take it upon themselves to win it for their team as they understood, just like bron should, that they are THE MAN

indiana now has a sniff with some confidence winning on heat's home court, now no third solid scoring option with bosh (they figure one of miami's big 2 has a bad night, then the pacers are in a really strong position to win that game)... imagine pacers win 2 straight at home?? heat would be in a 3-1 hole

The Thing about LeBron he has hit a Massive Shot for Cleveland in the Playoffs against Orlando and since Than he hasn't really taken Game Wining shots

IMO Wade will always be the guy to take the last shot on this Heat team until Spo gets the ass. Spoelstra will always see Wade as the franchise guy. What the Heat need is a new coach who can handle these guys and their egos, one thats not afraid to make tough decisions and one who will say "Lebron, grab the ball and win us the f'ing game"
We've all seen him win games before (that vid above shows a few of them) so to me it looks like the coach doesn't know what hes doing. The Heat are where they are on talent alone, its scary to think how dominant they'd be with a smarter coach running the right plays

Yeah the Lebron thing in the closing seconds has happened far too much for it to be that they just have'nt managed to get him the ball. He needs to make the play, give him the ball, if a double team comes, someone is open. He's the MVP!!!

Or he bombs away. Lebron has gotten them this far, not Wade or Chalmers. Lebron is just sitting out on the wings.

how good is OKC v LAL so far!!!! Absolute Battle. LA put OKC into bonus withing 1 minute of the 2nd quarter. Harden has 3 already and MWP got away with a closeline on Collison AND Harden!!

Awesome to watch!
