Official 2011-2012 Playoff thread

Wow, I'm not surprised the Clips won, it's soooo hard to come back from 3-1 down. A few years back the Spurs were down 3-1 to the Mavs, fought back to a game 7 AT HOME, then lost to an and1 by Dirk with a couple of secs to go.

I must say, I'd much rather be taking on a banged up Clips team than the Grizz. Although the difference in the series was Chris Paul down the stretch of games.

New round for predictions???
Clips vs Spurs = Spurs 4-2. Loved the way the Clips went about things, Evans is a pest it's awesome, CP3 is amazing, but with my objective hat on, the Spurs should have too much smarts for the banged up Clips.

OKC vs Lakers = OKC 4-1. I think they will be WAY too much for the Lakers to handle. Lakers would have to play like the bad boy Pistons and get away with it to beat these guys. OKC are too hungry and smart for that.

Celts vs 76ers = Celts 4-1. Could go a little longer with the injuries the Celts have. This really is their last run with the main 3 as 1 of them or all seem to be carrying bad injuries every year now.

Heat vs Indy = Heat 4-1. Would love to see this go 7 though or even an INDY upset

Can there be an "upset" in any of these series???

As a Heat fan, the thought of playing Boston doesn't excite me much. They are dangerous, I'd rather play anyone else from the East right now.

As a Spurs fan, I would like to play against an of the other teams in the East too!

The Heat have got it easy IMO! I really hope the C's get to the conference finals and make it got to 7! I think it will be real tough for whoever makes it to the West finals, so it is only fair!

i reckon this is fairly accurate, although i reckon boston will be pushed a little more than that... prob 4-2 or 4-3 celts imo as philly has a lot of youthful talent... heat have the east wrapped up though

spurs should cruise and okc should knock lakers out, don't think it will be 4-1 though... when pau & bynum fire in the same game they usually win and kobe will always be solid

i wanna see spurs and okc west finals... i reckon okc win it all

I know it sounds like Miami bashing, but I really do hope anyone wins but them. I like to see a full team effort. It really is the Lebron, D. Wade and Bosh show there with others filling in.Plus even their coach bugs me. I wish Lebron was still at cavs. That place was buzzing whenever he played there.

Okc are a great team. Everyone is on the same page from 1-12. Brooks is genius coach and really gets them playing the right way.

Celts, I love the way they play D. Got alot of respect for their main guys.

And of course the Spurs, if they can win I will be over the moon.

If any of the 3 above can win I'll be pretty happy. I still think Miami are favourites though. Lebron is on a mission. My biggest fear is if the Spurs make the Finals and lose to the heat. With any luck the C's will do them in the East finals

I think Lakers can upset OKC with their size inside and with the D Bynum can play. We have MWP back to try and slow Durant down a little so i think alot with fall on Westbrick shoulders. I think Sessions is quick enough but cant stop him so maybe between Sessions/Kobe they could take hime down a notch.

76's could also upset Boston, the C's have leaned on KG alot so far and at his age can he keep this play up with all the crash and bash of the playoffs?

Spurs shouldnt be troubled to much with the Clips but in saying that...an injury to Timmy or Parker could make it interesting.

I just checked sportsbet and between L.A and OKC the odds for OKC to win 4-1 is the favourite at 2.81. WOW, I thought I was going for a bit of a roughie.

Spurs 4-1
OKC 4-2
Celts 4-2
Miami 4-1

Spurs 4-2 - I think a healthy Clippers could youthfully surprise the Spurs but I think Pop has it covered!

OKC 4-2 - Too young, too quick and simply too good for Lakers. Kobe jacking 30 shots a game, Pau going missing and maybe even another brain fade from MWP plus Bynum being the immature brat he can be won't help things!!

Celtics 4-1 - Best chance of a 7 game series IMO..... The youthfulness of Philly may catch Boston Napping but I think they'll get it done as long as they can control the tempo of the majority of the series! Boton's injuries are a real, real worry... How much can KG and Rondo shoulder...????

Miami 4-0 - I like Indiana, a true team, no bonafide superstars, just a well rounded team that play for each other well! But Miami are, unfortunately, just that good at the moment! I really don't see Indy bothering them at all unless someone, ie" Lebron or Wade goes down injured!!

WCF Spurs vs OKC - OKC in 7! I think their youth, coaching, depth and just straight up pure scorers will win them this series over the distance, if they fall behind 0-2 they could be in a heap of trouble though!!!

ECF Boston vs Miami - Miami 4-1, again, to strong, to hungry and will take on an already run down Boston team tat just won't handle the pace and athleticism thrown at them by the Heat!

Finals OKC vs Miami - OKC in 7!! Out of pure hope!! I don't want ANY east team to win it, especially Miami!!! he longer I can refer to Lebron as the RINGLESS King the better!! And I don't hate Lebron as a player, but I hate his LOVERS that inflate his profile more then it deserves so far!

The upset I would love to see is clippers getting past spurs! But I don't think it will happen though. Im not predicting any suprises in the semis. And the prediction I been making (and most of the rest of the world) all season still stands. Looking forward to an OKC MIA finals!

Bosh out indefinately (most likely the entire Pacers series).

Could be interesting. I don't think they'll miss him too much. Mainly only for depth really.

May give the Pacers a sniff.
