Oli Kahn was Ok from what I saw on TV, went a lot off the boil in later years. Im biased though and would say only Dino Zoff or maybe Peter Schmeichel would be able to compare to Buffon. Must admit I never saw Kahn live though so cannot judge.

Sammy Lee? the coach who Liverpool sacked do you mean? I hope he hasnt gone to West Ham, I wouldnt wish that on them. They made a great signing in Kevin Nolan though.

Where did you get the other rumours from...Rossi will definately not join Spurs IMO from quotes he has made. Most of them seem crazy...Sturridge and O'Shea ones Im pretty confident are totally off the mark.

Most Rumours are crazy these days ;) A few weeks ago 'apparently' City put in a bid for C.Ronaldo, worth £100m and up to £400k a week! Was never going to happen!

I think the O'Shea rumour is off the mark but Sturridge is a possibility.. as a young striker i certainly would not be wanting to be at Chelsea, they are packed with established strikers fighting for a spot in the starting line-up.. theres no space for him! If Lukaku moves to Chelsea he will just wreck his career fighting it out for a spot with Anelka, Drogba and Torres because w***** Abramovich won't sell any of them!

I agree, Chelsea is a massive problem. They have the oldies you mention on massive wages so are just happy to sit there...I just dont think Chelsea will sell to United as their main rivals...
Unfortunately, this is the Abramovich approach all over!! Remember the Obi Mikel incident where they stole him from United and ended up paying £11m to Man Utd to keep them quiet as he had already signed a contract for United...Chelsea just dont care. They done similar when the young brazilian kid Lucas Piazon had agreed to join Juve and then Chelsea went in and just paid £10m up front to his club immediately...he cant even move to England until hes 18, only 16 at the moment!!!
Lukaku's a great prospect, but like you say won't be able to force his way into the side which he needs.

Man City are becoming the New Chelsea!!! Trouble with them is though, they have Atilio Lombardo as the chief scout so get linked to every single Italian club player who shows promise.
The Ronaldo rumour has to be the winner for ridiculus one of the year!!

O'shea, the last I heard was Stevie Bruce was trying to convince him to join Sunderland but he was reluctant.

Yeah i hate Abramovich with a passion, as do most of the boys here.. You can't just throw money at players to have them sit at the club benchwarming! Didier Drogba sat on the bench for majority of the time after Torres rocked up.. Theres one of the best strikers in the Premier League not getting any starts to a guy who was in HORRIBLE form and couldn't shoot let alone control or pass the ball! He's also an idiot because he has wrecked Anelka's career! If you remember back to 08/09 he won the Golden Boot! Now he is stuck at a club where he can't play effectively with the side's key man (Drogba)..

Thats the final problem, Anelka, Torres and Drogba can't play which each other at all!

im not saying i believe any of these rumours. just stuff ive seen from dodgy papers like the sun & guardian.
as for kahn, he was a machine. for me its schmeichel then kahn. then maybe buffon. i really like iker casillias tho...kahn may have been a little crazy, but it never effected his game. not like lehmann.
sammy lee will do well in the championship. his coachin style isnt suited to the top flight...
and adam has to go somewhere?

thats true, but anelka plays more of a winger role now, so i wouldnt expect him to get as many goals. either way tho, youre right. its ruined his career...

While we're having a laugh....

Guests at a testimonial dinner for Manchester United star Gary Neville almost choked on their desserts when they were serenaded… with a song made famous by arch-rivals Manchester City.

More than 1,200 fans paid £75 a head for the five-course feast in Malta, but were amazed when the entertainer launched into Blue Moon.

Here's the opulence!!

This is getting old. Wenger will not sell Nasri to Manchester United. End of.
And although this may be construed as a comment, the RVP story isn't even worthy of one. Shame on Foxsports for running a story from the Daily Star.

Ah just that time of year I suppose. The amount of players supposedly leaving Arsenal we'll have no-one left.

its like all of a sudden everyone thinks wenger has turned into a moron...

another cesc? Hector Bellerin joins Arsenal.
bellerin & jon miquel toral have signed and barca want them to be taken off fabs price. they really are desperate for cash...

FIFA rankings have always seemed a little off... England better than Brazil?!

Keep watching this vid over and over again.. I can vividly remember that night and the reaction i had when Van der Sar saved Anelka's penalty!

I know this comment is going to p*** you off Luke..

But Gervinho said he was moving to Arsenal to win titles.. obviously hasn't watched the Prem in the last 5 years has he?

And may i add, some of the worst refereeing i have ever seen last night in the 2011 Women's World Cup Match between Australia and Equatorial Guinea..

The main incident is the focus point but there were also 3 or 4 tackles from the Guinean players that could of been Reds but either saw yellow or got a warning! The main one was De Vanna running down the wing and the Guinean player charged her from the side and tackled her without any intention of getting the ball and she was smashed down into the turf which may of caused injury! Ridiculous!

This was possibly the biggest joke of the match though, how could ANY of the referee's miss this? Where's the linesman?
