Raiders announced this morning a two-year sponsorship deal with Chinese technology giant Huawei worth approximately $1.7 million.

well done to the raiders management for that good deal

It's the leadership the Tigers need. I can't stand him but he is the sort of player that the Tigers have been missing. While not a replacement for ellis it is a decent start in recruitment.

Strange signing.

Could be to replace Ellis in the forwards or maybe the will move Benji to halfback?

Fwds they will not move Benji to half they tried that before and it failed dismally..........it is as suggested Leadership / Coach support

Tigers have also chased Lima from Super League and I have had it confirmed again that Stewart has not even spoken to the Roosters.

They are talking moving Benji to #7 and having Braith at #6. He is to old and slow to be at #6 IMO.

I dont think he is a great leader. Look what happened at the Roosters last year........

True. I should stay at lock. He has'st got the legs for #6 any more even i would agree with that.

Benji is playing halback most of the time anyway. Tigers start the set with their halves left and right then depending on which side of the field the ball goes in later tackles pretty much determines who is 1st or 2nd receiver. When it comes to sheens jersey number means pretty much nothing position wise. Braith will likely be second receiver on one side in the early tackles because he has the skills but I doubt he will be the main playmaker. Braith will take ellis spot in the squad and while no one can replace him it's a fair step considering the players off contract.

I really thought the roosters would offer him something but i forgot that maloney from the warriors is coming over next year so there goes braith.

But comes back to the same old thing there is no such thing any more as loyalty to a club. The only ones i can think of that is left is hindmarsh.

Benji / Farah... One club men.
Luke Lewis, Gallen spring inevitably to mind...
Kurt Gidley... Cronk, Slater, Smith....
There's a few....

True when i sat there and actually thought about it but most of these players have the time to still swap teams. Once this new deal with the rights comes thru we will be having a field day i reckon.

Don't forget he was never going to be a one man club man as he did start his career with the bulldogs

Dragons have Cooper, Hornby, Young, Creagh, Morris, Nightingale, Hunt - all local juniors likely to be one club players.

Anasta is a Souths Junior, walked away from the Bulldogs, now it appears he's being pushed out to make way for Maloney and clear cap space for Sonny Bill.

My point is loyalty still exists - but it's a two way street.

I wonder where Moltzen fits in the Tigers plans for 2013?
