Just checked / googled / searched / and could not find any reference to it being the Year of the Shark...everywhere I looked it says the same thing Year of the Dragon.....

So now the Sharks, i thought it was the roosters as your second team, or was that the tigers...
Gordon should learn to be a team player, IMHO panthers are stronger with both Coote and Gordon in the team, saying that he will leave if he doesn't play fullback is a bit childish, starting to sound like a soccer player...

haha i don't have a second team. i have always liked the tigers, because my pop that recently passed played a couple of games of first grade for them years and years ago when they were balmain.
and the sharks was a little over exaggeration i think shanee is going to hold me too ahhaa.
well anyone who watches penrith games regularly will tell you how unreliable coote is in defense. he admittedly finds the line often, but gordon still proved he does it more in their first two trials.
ohwell this will only be the case until coote gets injured. i hope he tears that groin in round one. and we go on to two win the next 4 games, until the storm smash us.

South Sydney's Dave Taylor may be considering move to Canterbury and the Gold Coast set to bid for him as well.(I cant believe Gold Coast can afford him and surely they would be better off buying a FB, HLF or 5/8????
I also don't get the huge interest Parra are showing for everyone but especially Jared Waerea-Hargreaves / Darcy Lussick. Hargreaves has a reputation as a hard head but worth big money I'm not so sure (Roosters wont let him go anyway I'm hearing) and Lussick has only played a handful of games and mostly off the bench, potential sure but big money marque signing not for me......

Looks like most clubs are "assuming" the increase in the salary cap is coming, as you said Ross how some clubs can spend so much and still try to buy more players is confusing, would be funny if there was no increase for a few more years...

gold coast are in trouble. they've back ended all their contracts. eg. the one i know for sure is jamal idris. he could be on 200k this year and 300k next year ? its just an example i dont know his exact figures.
How many times does he give away back to back penalties which end up leading to a try. I love a bit of mongrel as much as the next guy but
I reckon he is easy to bait when you team needs a penalty....perhaps he will mature but I sure wouldn't be paying overs for him it's not like he makes line breaks or is a dangerous off loader.
