Parramatta Eels officials are resigned to another player turning his back on the club after agreeing to terms. Hot on the heels of the Josh Papalii saga, controversial British prop Gareth Hock now wants out of his Eels deal. Hock has some personal issues – as well as a massive offer from Salford City Reds that landed on his manager’s desk over the past few days. My spies in England tell me Hock is likely to renege on his Eels deal, even though the contract has been registered with the NRL, and take the big pounds on offer from Salford.
The Penrith Panthers are pleased to announce the signing of experienced utility Luke Capewell to the club for the remainder of 2013 and season 2014.
Capewell debuted in the NRL for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2008. Since then, he’s shown his flair on the field for the Gold Coast Titans and Brisbane Broncos.
Panthers General Manager Rugby League Phil Moss said “We are thrilled to have Luke sign on with us. His versatility on the field allows him to play in a number of different positions, which will add depth to our ranks”.
What really bothers me the most about State Of Origin is that QLD have their Team(squad) sorted out years ago and they only change due to retirement or injury, so the players are best of mates over many years. NSW on the other hand wait until the last minute to pick a team so they have no idea about each other in a team sense and then expect to create miracles which just do not happen!
I when i first seen it on the game Plan brilliant i thought.
