The Gold Coast is far less of a temptation for footballers than somewhere like..... Kings Cross in Sydney. The Gold Coast nightclub scene is a 1km by 2km strip called Surfers Paradise. Even then Orchid Avenue where all the nightclubs are is only 500m long. There really isn't that much to do on the Coast if you live here. If something happens here on the Coast its front page news the next day, so players know if they put a foot out of line, it will get back to the club very, very quickly. There are alot of little hidey holes in Sydney, the Coast doesn't have that.
^^^^^temptation is everywhere it more comes down to the culture of the playing group or a rogue individual IMO^^^^^^^
If i was a player (dreaming again) lifestyle would be a big choice and I think the GC would be a good environment to live and play. Things like weather and a nearby beach would be high on the priority lists.
The Sharks look like playing Luke Lewis in the centres, apparently his shoulder is a bit how you going.. with all their backrow depth they think they can afford to move him..
