Hey Steve , i know Robbie Deans personally and i really dont think u know what you are talking about???? I do not follow Union at all as i cant stand the game but Robbie is a good coach and he can only work with the players he has.... A team like NZ is hard to beat even on there off days , just like QLD in the state of origin.... I recently had a game of squash with Robbie and i was stirring him up about how Australia was going in the Union , i then had a really hard think about what i was saying???? ..... It would not matter who was coaching the Australian Union team as we do not have the same quality of players on the field compared to the All Blacks....

Yeah point taken mate but i still have my opinion and i laugh hysterically if you think he has been good for the Wallabies as their misery extends year after year.

I see most of the Australian Union players and lots a NRL 1st grade players at my sports centre in Sydney every week , and i am telling you from a few top guys in Union that they have said we as Australia just dont have the players NZ has got.... Anyway mate i am not going to argue about this as i follow rugby league and Robbie Deans is just a friend....

Bit of an overstatement.
Australia has a great team, when they are fit and healthy (and not chucking a tanty in the media).
What the Wallabies suffer from is a lack of depth, and thanks to an injury list as long as my arm the side currently touring Europe is not exactly a first string side. Unlike SA and NZ, there isn't a strong domestic comp to nurture talent. SARU and NZRU also don't have to compete with a strong domestic Rugby League comp for talent.
The Super Rugby expansion has also stretch local talent thin, evidenced by the import player concessions, and the fact that if it weren't for the conference structure, the Reds would have only just scraped into the finals.
What the Wallabies also suffer from is a low percentage attacking strategy that ultimately results in kicking the ball away for little gain. The Wallabies panache for set piece creativity has been destroyed, diluted to hit ups and kicks.
Deans tenure has been marked with inconsistent performances and a revolving door lineup that's seen 5 captains. He's never stuck with a core nucleus and nurtured them into a powerhouse. Oddly enough, his insistence on sticking with Quade Cooper during the World Cup, when Barnes was performing so much better, was equally infuriating.
He was a great coach for Canterbury, and I'm sure he's a great bloke, but he simply hasn't worked out for the Wallabies.

Hi Matt , bro this is why i do not follow Union , except for NZ any other international side can not score trys????.... The game is fricking boring as all hell seeing a game 29 - 34 [With 1 try and x amount of goals].... Club Rugby is alot more entertaining as at least you see more trys and line breaks.... Anyway B Barnes should not have ever left the Broncos as i think he is there best player....
