i hope the dragons get lewis ,i couldn't believe it when i heard i was leaving panthers i thought he would play out his career there ,players of his calibre don't come on open market like that everyday every player manger around will be trying to take him out to dinner

Dragons have no money according to Doust, we still have Gasnier under our cap, even though he retired!!!! He said we can only afford Crocker.
 
we will have money to spend beau scott going to knights and dean young retiring we should be in the running for Luke lewis and as far as gasnier goes his contact ended at end of 2011 season i read somewere there was an option on that contact to extend in to the 2012 season but he was released from that by the dragons (but dont quote me on that)

Still unsigned are David Stagg, Dene Halatau, Jono Wright, Bryson Goodwin, Joel Romelo. I'm guessing they'll keep a max of 2 of these guys but prob 1 or 0. I think either Stagg and/or Halatau will stay. What do others think?

I think Bryson Goodwin should go but Stagg,Halatau,and Wright if they can they should keep,they have been great for the dogs.Bryson even before his injury he wasn't in form

I'm a Luke Lewis fan but really I don't see him as a priority signing for us.........we need to be looking for a halfback / fullback.

i agree Ross money would be better spent on a half 5/8 but there's not much of them on the open market i think beau Scott and dean young going we have a big hole to fill and i think Lewis would be perfect, but our rookie coach, i don't know how a player of Lewis quality would like to play under somebody with little experience as Steve price i think that would be a big factor in Lewis decision on weather to play for us ,but i dont think dragons are really in the running to sign him i recon he is headed to shark park myself
 
Shocking news about Field, apparently was a Easts Junior who then spent about 5 seasons at Souths then went to Manly for 2 1/2 seasons playing in the 1997 Optus Cup Grand Final against Newcastle before securing a release to play for Balmain for the remainder of the 1999 year.
Was a member of the inaugural Wests Tigers side in 2000 before being released/sacked for disciplinary reasons after an incident at Balmain Leagues and a positive drugs test.
