NRL DRAW 2013

^^^sorry to see your displeasure at the draw but the reality is the NRL simply can't cater for fans who live no where near their teams home ground your situation will always be pot luck^^^

The good news is at least you can plan in advance your trips away to see them.

The problem is that this has been happening every year. The roosters have not played brisbane in brisbane since 2003.

that sucks for fans and something should be done about such a long absence for the roosters in brisbane. sharks fans in se qld and nth nsw also seem to get continually dudded on sharks games at gold coast, hope that will change this year

I can remember a game as recently as 2010 where the Roosters played the Broncos at Suncorp.....SKD 4 tries from memory...........and then they have played the Titans at Skilled Park several times including a Prelim Final in 2010 not to bad I reckon...... SE QLD is almost a second home for the Roosters.

We do miss out a lot up here in Dodge but yes we have been on the coast a few times. You are right Ross about 2010, 2 games at Lang Park including the major semi......AND WHAT A GREAT NIGHT. Getting jacked off about the Bronco's always on channel 9 up here even though they are not the main game. Someone should tell 9 that not everyone in Brisbane is a Bronco fan !!!

I can't understand how teams don't play HAHAHAHAHAHA or AHAHAHAHAHA . The scheduling is ridiculous.

As for TV...pfft. They only put on the teams that rate big and bring in advertising revenue - Brisbane, Souths, Tigers, Dogs and Saints.

Ideally, I would like to see an even spread - how Manly got 7 MNF games is beyond me and how Canberra don't get a FTA game until Rd 17 is beyond that.

However, fans need to go to the games and make their teams some noise. I gave up on TV forever ago. I don't have Fox, using the money to buy my season ticket.

The other thing I don't get, is why can't Fox and 9 work on dividing up the games even on the same night.

Say Canberra. Play Nth Qld on a Saturday night.

Why can't Ch 9 show that game live in lieu of a Friday Night game in the Canberra market? Outside of this region, it's on Fox.

Or Newcastle play NZ on Sunday at 2pm? Why not have Newcastle get a FTA 2pm game on Ch 9 (outside of Newcastle still on Fox) and forgo the 4pm game?

At the moment they probably are the biggest raters but that's because they are the only teams that 9 ever show. Teams like Canberra, Warriors and Cronulla don't get a chance by 9 to draw new fans and ratings when they are only shown once or twice a year.

And I agree with that comment too.

But Ch 9 have bought the rights, and it appears they dictate the terms.

It would be nice for the NRL to set up a home & away draw, lock in all the games equally and then the TV channels televise them.

I'd also like to see a Ch7/9 split next time around. Let's see what some competition does.
