One person who designs the sets and involved in card collecting is not a reflection of ALL the workers for ESP. Edit: or any other card companyI know of someone that has input in the design of the sets and has been involved in card collecting for 25+ years. If you think everything is being created by business men/women in suits with no knowledge of the industry then you are definitely mistaken.
Sets in this day and age have to be large. The NRL and AFL licence costs a motza and they have a minimum figure which must be met each year. You're not going to reach this figure by releasing a 200-Card set in the mold of the 90's Dynamic and Regina sets. You're not even going to hit it producing sets like Select did in the early 2000's. Select's AFL release this year is even larger than Traders. It's the way the industry has gone and it's a reflection of the growth of the game we support.

Not all, but I was saying that one person you know who collects cards does not represent the fact that the card company takes things from a view of the card colletor. And yes i have seen the website for ESP.Every person at ESP should be a card collector? You do know that ESP is an athlete management and sports marketing company as well?
I tap out! Looking forward to some new rumors and info regarding 2016 Elite
At least they didn't do 5 sets of parallels. Besides the parallel images were different for the peel and reveal ones right? Correct me if I am wrong. Technically black signature this year is a parallel too but that's up for oponipnESP are not the only company who do parallels. Even SELECT did numbered Parallels in 2012 Dynasty. the are call League Leaders and the Blacks are currently selling at more than $400
Thanks mate. Appreciate itAnyways next subject rather than @Delta's disdain for people or companies that make money

I think ESP got powerplay 2016 close to perfect. A sig card numbered to 200 seeded in would make it almost perfect. Making a binder with 30 pages and not 32 to fit all cards is a bit of a s***ter though. But Esp took feedback on pp and made a so so kids product into something cool and a bit modern and a bit retro.
I don't deal with them as a business so I'll stay out of that.
Is there any sleeve or page size that will fit the older powerplay cards?

Update: Was told today that their will be Patch cards in this elite series. Both Signed and Unsigned. Not sure how many or what teams.
What are kidneys worth in this day and age?!I am going to have to take out a second mortgage just to Team PC this release!
This is a card forum and apart from direct word of mouth, is probably the biggest platform for this hobby. It is my guess that ESP keeps tabs on it or at least is in communication with others who do. Therefore constructive feedback (positive and negative) has a direct link back to the company.
As previously mentioned ad nauseum, master set collectors are all but gone, IP collectors are hurting, and players HATE signing cards now. Card collecting has changed and we need to roll with those changes, but at the same time it is imperative that we try to protect what is really important. What will hurt YOU as a collector is losing a community to trade and buy/sell with.
Personally speaking I have collected enthusiastically for 25 years and am still here through thick or thin. I don't want to move on I want the product to suit as many of us as possible and be attractive to new and old collectors alike. Offering constructive feedback shouldn't be seen as complaining for the sake of it, but a sign that people actually care and love the hobby and are offering advice for it to improve. All good companies depend on customer feedback to survive. And asking all naysayers to 'move on'...really? Be very careful what you wish for.
Would ESP have released no. 1s without 'whingeing' - doubtful
Would ESP have numbered their hits without 'whingeing' - doubtful
Would ESP have included a case hit without 'whingeing' - who knows?
Would ESP have lowered their price this year without someone 'whingeing' - again who knows?
Whilst I appreciate your positivity (really), I believe constructive feedback is not petty and has a vital role to play in this hobby.
And for goodness sake we only know two card sets in the upcoming release; no one has actually flamed anything yet.
