Haha, its more like Simmonds with the huge GTFO. Volchenkov squares up the check and Simmonds just blazes through him.

Alberts put a hit on Derek Dorsett in the Canucks first game against the BJs, that left Dorsett with a borken collarbone, but I can't find a clip anywhere.

Games long from over but

Burrows scores 6secs into the game, setting a new franchise record, and 4th fastest in NHL history

:)

Man I love those jerseys

Hi there .

and that was about it for the canucks , they are going to have to pull thier socks up , glad you loved the uni i'm at the other side of it ,thinking it's thier worst . they are missing Kesler and pp needs lots of work far to fancy and not enough shooting .

Yeah shame they couldn't carry the momentum. They lost Booth after the first period too.

Not so sure on Kes, they were travelling well before he came back into the lineup, not that it got any better when he was back out. Kassian has certainly disappeared since he got knocked down the order, and Schroeder is back in the minors after his promising first few games.

But yeah the PP shocking. Used to be one of their greatest assets, but the wheels seem to fall of halfway through last year and it still hasn't got any better.

What bugs me about Canucks fans is how quickly they hop between goalie bandwagons. Last year they were all hanging off Schneid's jock, now they're hanging off Lou's. On paper they're pretty even, and its hard to split the two.

That said, I was stunned to see the comments after the 7-4 win over the Pred's, how people were calling Lou the true #1, nevermind the 4 goals against. His last three games his GA has been 8, 4, and 5. Not good enough.

lou will always be #1 to me don't rate shnider , good but not a #1 for a few more years needs to learn from lou , canucks will finnish strong for the last 3rd of the season as usuall .
vancouver never treat thier young well they trade and drop them far to quick .

I think Schneider is ready, he's been in the system for 5 years and had two solid seasons as a backup, he's too good to be a backup, but so is Luongo. And with Lack maturing well in the AHL, someone has to go eventually.

That said:

Luongo said:
I know Cullen likes to make that move, but it didn’t register in my brain. I need to come up with that save to keep it at 2-1.

is a really bizarre thing to say and it wont wash well with fans. Expect the Schneider wagon to gain momentum the closer to the playoffs we get... if they make it

Penguins turning into a retirement village picking up Brendan Morrow from the Stars, Douglas Murray from the Sharks and Jarome Iginla from the Flames.

And they're not done with rumours circulating they're trying to lure Ryane Clowe away from the Sharks.

Canucks trade Connauton and a second round pick to the Stars for Derek Roy.

Damn shame, I liked Connauton. One of the few Giants the Canucks had in their system and he would've been a great addition to a flat lined power play.
