If select no longer will be doing the NRL cards will they still honour the redemptions after this year?
It made wonder why Wang would all of a sudden just offload all his NRL cards and i thought that he may know something we dont...
1. Select no longer doing cards, which we now know
2. that Select wont redeem any more redemptions after this year,
but once word gets around that they wont be doing the cards after this year their may be a mad panic to get the cards people dont have????

ESP did the 2003/04 Cricket cards. I thinl they produce way too much as I picked up a case (it worked out at $30 bucks per box) back in 2005 cause they were getting rid of them. They ended busting plenty of boxes just to sell the Autograph cards on ebay at $100-$200 a pop.
They also did the binder set in 2004/05 which I don't think sold all that well. The binders were $300-$500 at the time (can't recall the real amount) but I bought 3 full binders with autographs on ebay for $50 each binder.
I think we all have to wait and see what select produce for series 2 and see what ESP does for us next year. Maybe they might release the cards earlier then what select does.
If select don't honour redemption cards as of next year I wonder if select will be doing a fire sale of all there stock?? If so I'd love to be a part of that. I was too young when dynamic had there massive fire sale of there redemption stock so I'd love to get my hands on anything select has to offer.

Select still redeems cricket redemptions even though they have no license for cricket cards now. Also Dynamic went out of business. Select seem to still be doing AFL cards.
Wow, don't visit the site for a couple days and look what happens. I guess time will tell whether it's better the devil you know, but exciting times. Does seem strange Select would give up the licence and that the NRL couldn't just offer two - though I don't think I'd have the passion or the pennies to collect two brands.
Here's hoping ESP step up to the mark and give us quality cards, featuring a greater number of players, cool inserts and season stats.
