Hope all works out Nick - I was out of work for 3 months mid-last year right when my wife had our first baby, and while I'm working full-time I'm still not doing my ideal job (and i'm 34!)...so you're not the only one out there who hasn't found their calling in life mate.
Just find something to pay the bills in the short term....you never know where even the most menial job might take you. People know people, so keep your eyes and ears open. Good luck :v:
Selling some of those pc cards you have of cheap will help in the mean time.
Naturally ill be happy to help out there...
Hope something comes up soon for ya nick
Spoke to the owner of the place i enquired about the job at and should be going in for a chat Friday. Looks like casual work atm but somethings better than nothing.
goodluck with the job hunting mate. I use to be in the sign industry when i first started working, i really liked it but wasn't making very good dosh....and now i'm an apprentice spraypainter and im still not making good cash haha...all in due time.
Thanks for the well wishes boys.
I went for an interview on Friday and things looked good. Gave him a couple of references and now just waiting to hear back from him.
Sounded like he really needed someone with my experience so hopefully it pans out. If not i'll be harassing my uncle to get me a job down at port botany wharfs
I think i'll be easing up on the cards for a while, if anything this little spell without a job has made me think twice about spending the way i do on cardboard. I'll still have the occasional mailday but not every day like i was a few weeks ago.
