I've generally been cashing in the cheap base ones I don't want straight away, but with challenges it might be worth holding them in case they are required in the future. I had a Jeremi Grant $5-$6 jump up to mid $30s because of a challenge for a week or so. You can always buy it back cheap once the challenge is over.

Challenges are owning a particular set of moments by a time limit. If you meet the challenge criteria you get rewarded with a special reward moment. So whilst the challenge is going on, the moments required get a boost in value because of the demand.
